Join us at the ECO Platform AISBL stakeholder event on EPD automation. Being able to assess a construction project’s climate impact throughout its entire life cycle is crucial if we are to ensure a more sustainable and efficient industry. The environmental data on construction products provides a cornerstone to these assessments and are key to making informed and sustainable decisions. With the increased regulatory focus on the climate impact of buildings, the demand for reliable environmental data will only increase. Automation of data generation will be essential for the construction industry to meet the demand, which is why ECO Platform is setting out to prepare common rules for tools and data verification to ensure consistent and credible data. As an ECO Platform member, Ramboll is deeply committed to this agenda, and our LCA-automation and decarbonisation experts Martin Blumberg, Dr. Bastian Wittstock and Ylva Frithiofson will participate in the upcoming stakeholder event on EPD automation. 📅 Tuesday 14 May 🕤 13.00 – 17.00 CEST 📍 Brussels & online 👉🏼 Register and learn more about the programme here: https://lnkd.in/d9M-gudN 💡 Swipe the carousel to learn more about environmental data on construction products and stay tuned for our experts’ key takeaways from the event. #EnvironmentalProductData #LCA #EPD #LetsCloseTheGap #ThePartnerForSustainableChange

Get to know Āpōpō Congress Technical Speakers. Our three concurrent technical streams have been inspired by the holistic principles of te ao Māori that perfectly inform how we need to approach the responsibility of managing our infrastructure assets. Stream one is Kaitiakitanga - the role of guardianship and stewardship. Presenting on day one, Kaitiakitanga stream are: Stewardship of Aotearoa’s asset data – Automating the Standardisation of 3 Million stormwater assets by James Thorne, WSP New Zealand Limited, and Tony Anderson, Beca. Is it possible to identify all stormwater assets in Aotearoa, bringing together disparate Councils, asset types, data formats, and ownership, to define future stewardship arrangements through water reform? Yes. We explain how, using data standardisation, process automation and spatial analysis 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gKCZXptF - Watercare, Datacare, and proactive care of buried network assets by Rico Parkinson, Stantec, and Brendon Harkness, Watercare. Stantec and Watercare have created a proactive renewal process for both water and wastewater networks that ingests and connects internal and open-source data. Creating asset specific Condition, Criticality and Constructability scores that use both theoretical and performance-based evidence 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gSnGgDwK - Enhancing resilience through data-driven quality assurance by Damien Douglas, WSP New Zealand Limited. Improve outcomes by applying leadership and capability to manage data throughout the whole lifecycle of an asset, including taking a better approach to data for quality assurance so that trends or non-conformances can be responded to in a timely manner 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gZuKt8aC - Unlocking success with the power of asset data - Fuelling efficiency, good planning and decision-making at Ara Poutama Aotearoa by Jessie Lea MRICS, Ara Poutama Aotearoa, and Hanish Arora MFMANZ, Beca. Our asset data has been unreliable and siloed, yet it is foundational for good asset management. It is time to view asset data and information as a critical strategic asset and treat it accordingly. This is our journey… 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gEzPnnvn Stay tuned as we share more on the Technical Presentations at the #ĀpōpōCongress2024

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 #WorldWaterCongress 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗼 ❓ 👉 I would say by visiting a local WWTP. Roberta and I had the chance to visit the Humber WWTP, located in the City of Toronto, on Sunday before the start of the conference. We discussed challenges related to GHG emissions, effluent quality, climate change, the impact of flooding, and rising water levels in the lake—topics that resurfaced at the conference. A special word for Vanessa: Thank you so much for your hospitality, showing us around (and even driving us around 😊) on a weekend day! We’re proud and very happy that we can collaborate with you and your colleagues! 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 ❓ 📢 Roberta, Wim, and I gave presentations and poster pitches on multiple topics, focusing on how digital solutions can help with the challenges related to N2O, O3 (for the removal of CECs or for disinfection), and anaerobic digestion (sludge or agricultural waste). It was great to see the interesting discussions and feedback! 👩🎓 We attended presentations, workshops, and discussions to learn more and stay updated. There is so much great work that was shared! 🤝 We met and chatted with new people, customers and colleagues in the water industry. Thanks for all the great conversations! It was fun too 😀 𝗠𝘆 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆(𝘀) ❓ Mitigating N2O emissions and achieving optimal effluent quality is all about 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. How do you achieve stable operations? • By having an optimal process design • By having optimal control of your plant Achieving that is a combination of the process and the people. The latter is often forgotten. At AM-Team, we focus with our digital tools on both Design and Operations and don’t forget the people dimension too. Our tools focus on the 5 E’s: • Effluent, Emissions, Efficiency (Process), and • Education, Enablement (People). Digital tools should make the life of designers, operators, and process engineers easier.
