Today, I attended the World Day against Trafficking In Persons commemoration at Kololo SS playground. The theme, "Leaving No Child Behind in the Fight against Human Trafficking," resonated deeply, emphasizing the need for preventive measures and protection. One of the key discussions focused on the critical role of prevention in combating human trafficking. It's essential to address the root causes and provide education and support to at-risk communities. Another thought-provoking topic was the concept of victims becoming perpetrators. This complex issue highlights the cycle of trauma and exploitation, underscoring the need for comprehensive rehabilitation and support for survivors. These discussions reaffirmed my commitment to preventing human trafficking and supporting survivors. We must work together to break these cycles and empower individuals to lead safe and fulfilling lives. #EndHumanTrafficking Ministry of Internal Affairs UGANDA CHILD RIGHTS NGO NETWORK - UCRNN UNODC
