We put energy⚡ behind everything we do! Meet new hire Eddie Northcraft, our International Logistics Coordinator at our Repairs Division with his thoughts on MD&A: Q: Why did you choose to work for MD&A? A: I was working for another company doing international logistics and I did a lot of research on MD&A and found out what they did and it was definitely something I was interested in. I’ve been doing logistics for about 15 years now so it piqued my interest. It’s been about four months now and everything‘s out working out great. Q: How would you describe our company culture? A: Everybody’s friendly here! It’s a big corporation but they don’t feel like it. If you have issues and you gotta take a day off here or there - they’re very open and they’re very lenient on giving you what you need. Also if you have any other issues in your personal life - there’s programs that can help you. It’s just an all-around great atmosphere to be in! Q: What has been your favorite project at MD&A so far? A: My favorite project so far today has been a big international project and we’ve had to send trucks by barge over to an island. We’ve done probably around 15 to 20 air freight shipments to it. It’s just been one of those projects that’s a lot of moving pieces and a lot of manpower involved. It’s very challenging but it’s also very rewarding! Explore A Career with a Powerful Purpose! At MD&A, We truly work together, as one team! We collaborate, we listen, we innovate. Interested in joining our team? It's the swift and smart actions that distinguish a true ILG Logistics leader. A huge shoutout to Lisa for her exceptional problem-solving during a recent delivery. With a load in distress and the client unexpectedly unavailable, Lisa stepped in and got the job done. Finding herself with a load destined for a Wisconsin school job site and a receiver that doesn’t take deliveries on Fridays, Lisa’s initiative led her to connect directly with the project manager. Thanks to her diligent coordination and communication, the truck was unloaded right on time. It’s this dedication to going the extra mile that keeps our operations smooth. Lisa, your ability to navigate through the unexpected and ensure our client's needs are met shows off the true ILG spirit of commitment. #logistics #loadrecovery #savetheload #supplychain

I started my career at ICL in 1993 as an Operator in a Production Facility at Neot Hovav site. In 2000, I moved to the Supply Chain branch to work in the Planning Unit. Since 2009, I have managed the Export Unit. ❓ 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀? As an export manager, I am responsible for ensuring that sea/air transportation reaches our customers safely and on time, even with constraints like the unavailability of vessels and empty containers, changing sailing times, weather conditions, epidemics, and geopolitical influences. ❓ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝗯? An integral part of the job is dealing with new regulations in seaports. About seven years ago, a seaport decided to stop the entry of one of our products, which meant finding an alternative port and/or sailing route. However, that would make the logistics more expensive and extend sailing time. By thinking outside the box, I could contact the seaport's operations manager directly. After lengthy negotiations, I could lift the restriction and continue operations at this port as usual. ❓ 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗯𝗯𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝘀𝘂𝗲? ⏳ Supporting LOGISTICS operation of the past… … today, I #experienced the wonderful feeling of listening to and sensing the #wings of #history 🦅 I visited #WaxholmsKastell and delved into its #fascinating past. As I walked around the small island, I reflected on how #logistics were #managed back then. How did they handle material flows and #working conditions? Were these areas even #prioritized? I took the #opportunity to gain some clarity on how they managed their logistics and it was truly #enlightening and as you can see in the picture I had a quick chatt with their #foreman. I am #convinced that logistics have always been of utmost #importance, ever since #ancienttimes. Analyzing and finding the best ways to move materials from point A to point B is something that #requires #skill and #innovation, both then and now. It’s amazing to think about how our understanding and #technological advancements in this field have #evolved over the years. #history #logistics #logisticsmanagement #workingenvironment #materialflows #innovation
