EVs may represent the future of transportation, but not necessarily in the immediate future. Straight Arrow News highlights recent polls from Jerry, The Associated Press, Yahoo Finance and Ipsos, all indicating that many Americans are not quite ready to embrace EVs. What’s holding them back? Watch this clip to learn more about their perspectives.

Today's third in a trilogy about EVs. EV charging stations and charging at colder temperatures. If we have planned for it, ensuring that the right charging stations are installed for the anticipated weather conditions. Like cold winters. #ev #electriccar #coldweather
❄️🔍 The recent cold snap sparked discussions about EVs spending more time at chargers. But is it really the case? (🚨 Spoiler alert: it's up to 16% longer and 17% more energy consumed!) We delved into the data on charging in wintry conditions to uncover the facts. Get the real story here 👇

Alex Joseph, MBA, M.E.Des. Thanks for sharing and insightful. Indeed the data speaks of itself and if we see with unbiased approach and not with pre-conceived notions, we can notice that actions speaks of volumes...results are effects of our actions and are visible. Personally, I have a few to highlight here from your report which are facts and we can't close our eyes to accelerate and embrace #sustainable solutions - - Clean technology costs fall by around 20% for every doubling of deployment — Wright’s Law - The supply chain is in place Companies already plan to construct more solar and battery capacity by 2030 than is needed to reach net zero - Electricity is the largest supplier of useful energy - Efficiency gains since 2010 have reduced energy demand growth more than any other factor. Finally, a food for thought for all of us from your report - Pessimists sound clever; optimists change the world - The incumbents have been predicting the end of the transition for decades. Visual data should help us embrace and renew our faith (seeing is believing). #sustainability #energyefficiency #renewables #cleanenergy #innovation

Lots of media chatter on the sun only shining during the day, EVs slowing, heat pumps don't work in the cold, and overall battery problems. The data suggests a different story. Those that pay attention can see. https://lnkd.in/gi9mpqRF

This is a super-interesting article. What fascinated me was "Most Americans think they will buy an electric car in the next 10 to 15 years". OK, if that's the case then if I was buying a car, I'd avoid a fossil fuel one today due to the risk of resale values or even the ability to sell it easily later. If I was a manufacturer - well, the writing is on the wall. Danny Devito delivers a great monologue in "Other People's Money" (1991) that I keep coming back to: "You know, at one time there must've been dozens of companies makin' buggy whips. And I'll bet the last company around was the one that made the best goddamn buggy whip you ever saw. Now how would you have liked to have been a stockholder in that company? You invested in a business and this business is dead. Let's have the intelligence, let's have the decency to sign the death certificate, collect the insurance, and invest in something with a future." #climateChange #motoring #electricCars
This is a lovely read about the perception of EVs in the US. Big takeaway for me: politics matter but Americans care much more about not being told what to do than any other country. https://lnkd.in/eg2hVg7v

Exploring the repercussions of the video "Government is Forcing New Electric Vehicle Mandates and New Rules," we uncover how the Biden Administration's ambitious emissions goals could impact the average consumer. While aiming to significantly reduce carbon emissions and promote electric vehicles (EVs) by 2032, these mandates are expected to drive up vehicle costs substantially, with EV manufacturers already operating at a loss. Moreover, concerns arise regarding the insufficient infrastructure to support EV charging needs, despite substantial funding allocated for this purpose. Amid uncertainties surrounding future elections and potential policy shifts, consumers face apprehension about potential tax and fuel price increases. Proactive planning becomes crucial for consumers navigating the transition to EVs amidst these challenges and potential energy supply limitations. https://lnkd.in/g-CJ8BDD

Poor planning and implimentation strategy meets ideological corruption, confusion and chaos in the market space. The disordered thinking fractures the need for integrated planning in complex systems, proper phases in development and supply chain realities. The lateral thinking siloed mind and culture of organizations misunderstand, misappropriate, misapply and misuse applied knowledge in complex systems. Othniel Max Daves
Americans don’t want electric cars as badly as the Biden administration wants to force them on us, but that isn’t going to stop them from crippling our energy independence and making us more dependent on inefficient “green” alternative.

RHODES CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENT QUESTION OF THE DAY - SHOULD THE GOVERNMENT MANDATE ELECTRIC VEHICLES? The recent headlines regarding the forced transition from gasoline- and diesel-powered vehicles to electrical vehicles (EVs) are screaming "Slow down!" even as federal and state governments are barreling along trying to regulate and mandate them. The market and the current technology have shown plenty of warning signs they are not ready at this point, but the government seems bent on recklessly jeopardizing our national and economic security to push its environmental agenda. While EVs likely have a role in our future transportation, it is time to hit the pause button and develop a better strategy moving forward into a strategy that includes a competitive marketplace and technical considerations, and not just massive governmental intervention in our economy.
