Thank you, Katrina Klier for highlighting this quote of mine. It is something that I believe, deeply. And it's a game changer if we can stop allowing it to happen. "I once heard someone refer to sales and marketing teams as oil and vinegar - they don't really blend well but if you can keep them together for a short time you can make a tasty salad dressing. While this has to be one of the most unusual analogies I've heard, there is some truth to it. Too often marketing and sales are viewed very separately and not as an integrated go-to-market function. There in lies the problem. Allowing the walls between them to continue causes negative impact on the whole company, and your customers. That's why this quote from April Williams is so powerful. When was the last time you stopped to see what could work better across your sales and marketing teams? When was the last time you made improvements? Are your teams incentivized to come up with ideas?
