Mexico’s Best Drilling Intercepts, First Week of April 2024 After a week without press releases on drilling in Mexico, Silver Tiger presented results from the ongoing pre-feasibility study (PFS) drilling program at El Tigre, in Sonora. The company has completed 22,000 m of a 25,000 m drilling program focused on expanding resources, up-grading the classification, completing metallurgical and geotechnical studies to take the project to the development stage. The current results are from the Stockwork mineralization present in the El Tigre Formation on the hanging wall and footwall of the El Tigre and Seitz Kelly veins. This is an excerpt of their press release: “The El Tigre silver and gold deposit is related to a series of epithermal veins controlled by a north-south trending structure cutting across the andesitic and rhyolitic tuffs of the Sierra Madre Volcanic Complex within a broad silver and gold mineralized propylitic alteration zone developed in the El Tigre Formation that can be up to 150 metres wide. The veins dip steeply to the west and are typically 0.5 metre wide; however, locally can be up to 5 metres in width. The veins, structures and mineralized zones outcrop on surface and have been traced for 5.3 kilometres along strike in our brownfield exploration area. Historical mining and exploration activities focused on a 1.6-kilometre portion of the southern end of the deposits, principally on the El Tigre, Seitz Kelly and Sooy veins. The under explored Caleigh, Benjamin, Protectora and the Fundadora exposed veins continue north for more than 3 kilometres.” #Mexico #MineralExploration #Drilling #Exploration #Gold #Silver

Silver Mines Ltd (ASX:SVL, OTC:SLVMF) is about to go in with the drills at the high-priority Bara Creek prospect, seven kilometres north of the company’s Bowdens Silver Project near Mudgee in Central West New South Wales. This will be the first drilling program at Bara Creek, a prospect that has shown significant potential for high-sulphidation epithermal mineralisation. The Bara Creek prospect was first identified in 1989 by CRA Exploration after stream sediment sampling returned anomalous gold, arsenic, silver, copper and antimony values. Despite the early identification of mineralisation, the prospect was subject to minimal exploration activity and there has been no prior drilling. In 2023, Silver Mines initiated a major fieldwork program, including geological mapping, geochemical surveying and ground-based gravity surveys. Positive geological observations have been made from a maiden two-hole 798-metre drill program by Corazon Mining ASX:CZN (OTC:CRZNF) at the May Queen porphyry target within the Mt Gilmore Copper-Gold Project in northern New South Wales. Drilling intersected intense alteration and widespread low-level sulphide mineral assemblages within porphyritic intrusive rocks at geochemical and geophysical anomalies indicative of porphyry copper-gold deposits. These two holes delivered positive results with favourable porphyritic intrusive rocks and alteration intersected typical of a mineralised porphyry system. This initial core drilling program provided a first-pass test of what has been identified as a priority target for large porphyry copper-gold deposits and Çorazon considers that the results are encouraging. Eureka Zone Exposed at Surface ⛏️ Over the course of the 2024 summer exploration program, Delta was able to expose an eleven metre section of the Eureka Gold Deposit at surface through mechanical trenching The exposed section is located above the trace of drill holes D1-23-60 (1.79 g/t Au over 128.5 m), where overburden thickness was estimated to be manageable for excavators. The overburden thickness varied between 2.5 and 3.0 metres and the trench was halted when the thickness exceeded 3.0 metres. In all, the trench exposed a total of 11 metres of the zone across strike. A channel 4 cm wide was cut with a rock saw, averaging 8 cm deep for sampling. The zone was divided in 11 equal samples of 1 metre in length and sent to assay. The complete eleven metres of channel samples returned an average grade of 1.23 g/t Au. Although the drilling data already clearly indicated that the mineralization is present at surface, this new trench provides Delta's geologists with enhanced geological and structural information. 🔸TSX-V: DLTA | OTCBB: DTARF | Frankfurt: 6G01 🔸 #Mining #Gold #ThunderBay #Ontario #Investing Learn more ➡️ https://lnkd.in/grkWtd5X

FireFly Metals Ltd (ASX:FFM) has fielded promising geophysical results from downhole electromagnetic (DHEM) surveys, highlighting new high-grade copper mineralisation zones at its Green Bay project in Newfoundland, Canada. The surveys, conducted by Southern Geoscience, revealed off-hole conductors consistent with existing mineralisation and indicated potential new massive sulphide channels west of the Ming North zone. These findings underscore the continuity of both the copper-gold-rich Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) lenses and the broad Footwall Zone (FWZ) stringer mineralisation well beyond the limits of current drilling. FireFly Metals has commenced drill testing of these anomalies, with results expected within weeks. #ASXNews Up to 4,500m aircore drilling program set to commence testing priority greenstone-splay, fault-hosted #gold targets interpreted under cover at Metals Australia Ltd Big Bell North, along strike from the 5Moz Big Bell Mine and Garden Gully Projects in Western Australia’s world-class Murchison Gold Province. The Big Bell North tenements cover an extensive 337km2 area where little previous exploration has been carried out due to extensive regional soil cover and the historic lack of recognition of greenstone lithologies. Interpretation of recently completed aeromagnetic and gravity surveys has defined greenstone-splay fault priority drilling targets on both the eastern and western zones of the Big Bell North tenements. CEO, Paul Ferguson, commented: “The drilling program we are set to commence at our highly prospective Big Bell North gold project in Western Australia’s prolific Murchison Gold Province is the latest step in the Company’s aggressive push to unlock value from our suite of gold and critical mineral projects, which are all located in well-established mining regions in Australia and Canada.” Our Big Bell North project, where there has been no modern-day exploration, has advanced rapidly during 2024 on the back of a methodical, phased exploration approach from our geological team. This started with an extensive fixed wing aeromagnetic survey covering over 5,200-line km which yielded two interpreted shear zones of significance. We followed this up with detailed gravity survey work, which revealed the likelihood of greenstones within the shear zones. This is significant because gold mineralisation within the Murchison domain is often concentrated within such greenstone belts and is structurally controlled, thus enhancing the potential of the targets we are now set to drill.” Read full #ASX announcement here: https://bit.ly/4hbK5uv
