Silver Mines Ltd (ASX:SVL, OTC:SLVMF) is about to go in with the drills at the high-priority Bara Creek prospect, seven kilometres north of the company’s Bowdens Silver Project near Mudgee in Central West New South Wales. This will be the first drilling program at Bara Creek, a prospect that has shown significant potential for high-sulphidation epithermal mineralisation. The Bara Creek prospect was first identified in 1989 by CRA Exploration after stream sediment sampling returned anomalous gold, arsenic, silver, copper and antimony values. Despite the early identification of mineralisation, the prospect was subject to minimal exploration activity and there has been no prior drilling. In 2023, Silver Mines initiated a major fieldwork program, including geological mapping, geochemical surveying and ground-based gravity surveys. Eureka Zone Exposed at Surface ⛏️ Over the course of the 2024 summer exploration program, Delta was able to expose an eleven metre section of the Eureka Gold Deposit at surface through mechanical trenching The exposed section is located above the trace of drill holes D1-23-60 (1.79 g/t Au over 128.5 m), where overburden thickness was estimated to be manageable for excavators. The overburden thickness varied between 2.5 and 3.0 metres and the trench was halted when the thickness exceeded 3.0 metres. In all, the trench exposed a total of 11 metres of the zone across strike. A channel 4 cm wide was cut with a rock saw, averaging 8 cm deep for sampling. The zone was divided in 11 equal samples of 1 metre in length and sent to assay. The complete eleven metres of channel samples returned an average grade of 1.23 g/t Au. Although the drilling data already clearly indicated that the mineralization is present at surface, this new trench provides Delta's geologists with enhanced geological and structural information. 🔸TSX-V: DLTA | OTCBB: DTARF | Frankfurt: 6G01 🔸 #Mining #Gold #ThunderBay #Ontario #Investing Learn more ➡️ https://lnkd.in/grkWtd5X

Prismo Metals Inc. Metals Inc. (CSE: PRIZ) (OTCQB: PMOMF) is pleased to announce results from its ongoing exploration program at Los Pavitos, a 100% owned 5,300 ha Project in the well-mineralized Alamos region of southern Sonora State, Mexico. Exploration work reported here includes drilling of 4 new zones in an area of 1.5 by 3 km. ✅ The 2023 exploration program included geologic mapping, sampling and drilling designed to determine the overall mineralization style(s) and geometry of structures in the northern half of the project. This included the first ever drilling at Pavitos. Prismo drilled 2,370 meters of HQ core in 25 relatively shallow (max 171 m) holes into 7 mineralized structures up to 1.5 km long. ✅ The final eight holes of the 2023 program are reported here. These tested four widely-spaced structures distant from areas of previously reported strong gold drill results and areas of historical artisanal mining (See Press Releases of October 17th and December 5th, 2023). The best results (2.6 g/t Gold over 0.5m and 1.18 g/t Gold over 0.5m ) come from shallow. ✅ Additionally, a new zone with several structures was identified and sampled in the previously unexplored northeastern portion of the project area (See Table 2). Surface sampling along the northeastern projection of the gold and silver-rich Santa Cruz structure (See Press Releases of October 17th and December 5th, 2023) yielded the highest silver assay from the project to date: 1,130 g/t Ag, with 1.33 g/t Au over 0.15 meter. Other results from this new work area include numerous samples reporting anomalous gold and the pathfinder elements arsenic and bismuth (As and Bi) (Table 1). None of these structures have yet been drilled and remain priority drilling targets. "With only 25 holes drilled into 9 structures and less than half the property sampled systematically, it's pretty exciting when the first-ever drilling in new, previously untested outlying structures reports appreciable gold. We are obviously looking forward to continued drilling on them," commented Craig Gibson, President and CEO. "Finding kilo-plus silver in the undrilled extension of a structural zone where we've previously drilled good gold and silver grades significantly adds to that excitement and reinforces our geologic concept that Pavitos saw multiple mineralizing events." Congratulations to the entire team Prismo Metals Inc., Craig Gibson, Alain L. Jason Frame Patrick Finucane on this exciting update! #investingnews #silverinvesting #silver #resourceinvesting https://lnkd.in/geEXBAuM

Mexico’s Best Drilling Intercepts, First Week of April 2024 After a week without press releases on drilling in Mexico, Silver Tiger presented results from the ongoing pre-feasibility study (PFS) drilling program at El Tigre, in Sonora. The company has completed 22,000 m of a 25,000 m drilling program focused on expanding resources, up-grading the classification, completing metallurgical and geotechnical studies to take the project to the development stage. The current results are from the Stockwork mineralization present in the El Tigre Formation on the hanging wall and footwall of the El Tigre and Seitz Kelly veins. This is an excerpt of their press release: “The El Tigre silver and gold deposit is related to a series of epithermal veins controlled by a north-south trending structure cutting across the andesitic and rhyolitic tuffs of the Sierra Madre Volcanic Complex within a broad silver and gold mineralized propylitic alteration zone developed in the El Tigre Formation that can be up to 150 metres wide. The veins dip steeply to the west and are typically 0.5 metre wide; however, locally can be up to 5 metres in width. The veins, structures and mineralized zones outcrop on surface and have been traced for 5.3 kilometres along strike in our brownfield exploration area. Historical mining and exploration activities focused on a 1.6-kilometre portion of the southern end of the deposits, principally on the El Tigre, Seitz Kelly and Sooy veins. The under explored Caleigh, Benjamin, Protectora and the Fundadora exposed veins continue north for more than 3 kilometres.” #Mexico #MineralExploration #Drilling #Exploration #Gold #Silver

Positive geological observations have been made from a maiden two-hole 798-metre drill program by Corazon Mining ASX:CZN (OTC:CRZNF) at the May Queen porphyry target within the Mt Gilmore Copper-Gold Project in northern New South Wales. Drilling intersected intense alteration and widespread low-level sulphide mineral assemblages within porphyritic intrusive rocks at geochemical and geophysical anomalies indicative of porphyry copper-gold deposits. These two holes delivered positive results with favourable porphyritic intrusive rocks and alteration intersected typical of a mineralised porphyry system. This initial core drilling program provided a first-pass test of what has been identified as a priority target for large porphyry copper-gold deposits and Çorazon considers that the results are encouraging. #ASXNews Matador Identifies Several New Diamond Drill Targets at Central Zone Matador Mining is pleased to announce a recent significant intersection from assay of historic drill core in the Central Zone footwall area, and definition of new diamond drill targets aimed at discovering stand-alone gold deposits within the resource corridor, particularly at the Cape Ray Project. The Company is finalising plans to test these targets with the first phase of diamond drilling expected to start in the near-term. The resource corridor is located along the Cape Ray Shear Zone in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada and already hosts 610 koz of gold in Mineral Resource. • Recent assay result from previously drilled geotechnical diamond drillhole (CGT006) returned 11 metres at 2.39 g/t gold (not true thickness) including 0.55 metres at 8.2 g/t gold from 126.75 metres and 1 metre at 10.3 g/t gold from 135 metres from the Central Zone footwall. • Geotechnical drillhole (CGT005) returned 3 metres at 8.24 g/t gold from 127 metres, including 1 metre at 13.9 g/t gold from 129 metres within the Z41 deposit. • Currently preparing the remaining four geotechnical footwall holes for assaying. • Company data analysis has identified significant geochemical anomalies in key structural locations untested by historical drilling in the footwall of the Central Zone deposits and along kilometres of strike. • Identified prospective down-plunge extension targets at Central Zone deposits following comprehensive structural review and through 2023 Mineral Resource estimate update. #MZZ’s Managing Director and CEO, Sam Pazuki, P.Eng, M.Fin commented: “Over the past two decades, exploration activities within the resource corridor focused mainly on the Central Zone and Window Glass Hill deposits, yielding a considerable amount of data. We recently undertook a comprehensive reassessment of our database and improved the Mineral Resource, which we announced in May 2023. Over the past 15 months, in particular, the Company has undertaken comprehensive analysis on the vast quantities of data collected historically, by other companies and by Matador, to better understand the structural and geological controls, test old and new geological theories, and develop new and innovative geological models including more recently we developed the first-ever three-dimensional geological model covering the entire resource corridor.” See the full announcement: https://bit.ly/3Vc6I7x #MatadorMining #MiningNews #ASX
