The United States, "We must do more to impede the military's access to arms and financial resources. It is time for the Security Council to restrict the flow of arms. We urge Member States to support action prohibiting the sale or transfer to the military of weapons and dual use material, including aviation fuel, used to attack civilians." The US Constitution the most disputed document in history yet the most powerful... Here are three main facts about the U.S. Constitution: 1. Oldest Written National Constitution: The U.S. Constitution, ratified in 1787, is the oldest written national constitution still in use today. It has served as a model for numerous other nations' constitutions. 2. Establishes a System of Checks and Balances: The Constitution created a federal government divided into three branches—legislative, executive, and judicial—each with its own powers and responsibilities. This system of checks and balances ensures that no single branch becomes too powerful. 3. Amendments Allow for Flexibility: The Constitution can be amended to adapt to changing societal needs. There are 27 amendments, the first 10 of which form the Bill of Rights, guaranteeing essential freedoms and rights to individuals. Number 3 is the one that we do not focus on as much as we should. So why am I posting about the constitution? Well first it is by far my favorite element when it comes to law. I did a deep dive during my under studies and an updated deep dive during graduate school. But as of recent, the American Bar Association decided on "Law Day 2025" The selected date is May 1, 2025. I received a flyer in the mail and of course got to researching! Here is what I know so far: https://lnkd.in/evsUKrEX So feel free to sign up to learn more! I know I did! 😊 What else do you know or want to know about the constitution? #constitution #lawday #aba #lawyers #attorneys #lawfirms #paralegals

Isn't this insurrection, or at the very least sedition? sedition /sĭ-dĭsh′ən/ noun 1. Conduct or language inciting rebellion against the authority of a state. Insurrection; rebellion. 2. The raising of commotion in a state, not amounting to insurrection; conduct tending to treason, but without an overt act; excitement of discontent against the government, or of resistance to lawful authority. Predictable but still infuriating drivel from the United Nations Human Rights spokesperson. No sensible, unbiased observer has the slightest doubt that #Israel struck a vital and inspiring blow against hostage-taking, one of the most pernicious and cowardly tactics in the #terrorism playbook. There are few countries capable of planning and executing such a complex and daring operation. Let’s suppose that the US is one of them: does anyone think for a second that they would factor in concern for civilians complicit in holding the hostages? The sole factors to take into account are likely success and risk of casualties among hostages and rescuers. No US taxpayer or other stakeholder would tolerate American forces’ compromising those concerns to prevent collateral damage amongst the hostage-holding population. This was a brilliant success for Israeli forces, the one sadness being the loss of a brave soldier. #hamas and “civilians” who colluded in the cruel and despicable crime of holding hostages bear sole responsibility for their own and any other casualties. Hostage-taking and the use of human shields are both crimes against humanity. So the UN (and elements of the international media) need to get over themselves. You want to accuse those who released the hostages of acting disproportionately? To take some kind of action against them? You are a laughing stock and history will not judge you kindly. You should also look to your future funding because increasing numbers of Western taxpayers are sick of subsidising your nonsense.
"The manner in which the raid was conducted in such a densely populated area seriously calls into question whether the principles of distinction, proportionality and precaution - as set out under the laws of war - were respected by the Israeli forces." - Jeremy Laurence, United Nations Human Rights, on the Israeli raid to save hostages last weekend

Democracy, Falderalism, Human and Democratic rights are only concepts that exist in a subject called "Civics" throughout our school life. Summer break taught me alot about the mediocrity of our government and administrative system. Even in places where there is actually a relative peace and stability we are experiencing these injustice (imagine where there is no relative peace): 📌 Fear mongering: usually by mentioning the coming of certain extremist groups 📌 Illegal searches without court order: often involving getting into houses and forcing civilians to cooperate 📌 Unnecessary checkpoints and traumatizing levels of search by militia forces often involving brutal, unnecessary use of force. 📌 Questioning of civilian's style choice without proper motive and legal ground. 📌 Forcing people to attend meetings against their will. It reminds me of communist regimes who would shove their propaganda down your throat. Many more injustices willingly being committed by the officials that were suppose to facilitate the flow of and practice of our human and democratic rights.

25 March The International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade. It’s a time to reflect on a shameful era. On a brutal system of human trafficking. Built on the myth of white supremacy. Today we remember those who suffered and resisted oppression. And we honour them by fighting for equality and justice. SCI vigorously joins the conservative coalition in opposition to expanding #SelectiveService registration to include women. This would be a historic and strategic policy change ignoring the biological differences between females and males that will affect America's national defense. Women who voluntarily join the #ArmedForces are admirable and patriotic and we salute with the highest regard; however, forcing all women to register does not award the equality stamp. #EqualRights does not imply equal physicality. Drafting our daughters doesn't prove their worth or status as a citizen. #Military leaders should make strategic decisions and policy based on what is the best defensive and offensive maneuvers in the combat theater not gender blinded ones. #NDAA #SenateArmedServices #Daughters #Granddaughters #Nieces #Women Maggie McKneely Concerned Women for America Independent Women's Forum Women's Congressional Policy Institute Andrea Bottner Hadley Heath ManningAmber SchwartzCarrie Sheffield Barbara Ledeen Amber Niblock Heather Reams Heather Sellers Advancing American Freedom Ann Stone Lois Stirewalt Murchison Candice BoyerOlivia Grady, Esq.
