THERE IS AN EPIDEMIC THAT IS TAKING PLACE IN THE WORKFORCE.
This epidemic is costing companies throughout the world hundreds of billions of dollars every year. Nonetheless, the willingness to openly address it with legitimate solutions is lacking. Below is the epidemic:
PEOPLE EVERYWHERE HATE THEIR JOBS!
Gallup recently conducted a study in which as many as 85% of employees hated their jobs and were disconnected from their deepest sense of purpose.
Regardless, while this is widely known, organizations have not been successful addressing it, or worse yet, don’t care.
To be direct, what we are doing to support the employee experience isn’t working. This is in spite of more focus and attention being placed on improving the workplace experience than ever before.
WHY DOES THIS MATTER?
Employees who hate their jobs are less productive, produce worse results, and are more prone to leaving their workplace. Collectively, this results in the loss of hundreds of billions of dollars.
This makes it imperative, we must change the way we attempt to improve the workplace. It is also the reason why I am writing a new book titled:
THIS IS WHY I HATE MY JOB!
In the book, I will share details as to why employees hate their workplace as well as actions leaders can take to improve the employee experience.
Throughout 2024, I will be posting information about this topic. Please feel free to connect with/follow me, share posts that resonate with you, or PM me about experiences that shaped your perception of your job (good or bad).
I look forward to going on this journey with you to discuss how we can successfully improve the workplace and strengthen the employee experience.
