Building a quality drilling fluid is half the battle…getting repeated trips downhole depends on a first rate solids control program and a qualified/trained technician. Look to American Augers and Ditch Witch to supply leading equipment and support for your solids control program.
To further enhance its trenchless capabilities and operational excellence, CDS NZ Ltd recently invested in the American Auger M300DH Cleaning System, supplied by CEA NZ. #trenchless #trenchlesstechnology #cleaning

Whyalla blast furnace is back up and running. After a protracted breakdown and repair period GFG Alliance has announced the Whyalla blast furnace is back making iron, allowing the progressive reopening of the steel works. As Australia's only source of large structural steel and steel rails, the news is welcome, especially by the local community including Mayor Phil Stone. "I don't think you could ask for a better start to 2025 than this for the Whyalla community ," Mayor Stone said. "As GFG have said, they're not out of the woods yet with a number of challenges still to overcome to resume full production, but to have steel coming out of the caster is a major milestone after the past few months, which have really taken a toll on the morale of the whole city, so this is truly positive news. "On behalf of Whyalla, I'd like to thank those committed steel workers who have battled tirelessly around the clock to achieve this major milestone - we all continue to support them as they work to ramp up to full production. "From there, we urge GFG to demonstrate an achievable and deliverable long-term plan for their transition from carbon-based steelmaking, with realistic timeframes and milestones so the community understands what to expect over the coming years. "While there are still plenty of challenges ahead this year, we believe this is the first of a host of positive announcements for Whyalla, as we work collaboratively with all levels of government on major projects such as our airport upgrade funding; commencement of construction for the Hydrogen Jobs Plan; and many others." https://lnkd.in/gxzy2qmw

The decommissioning of offshore platforms is a complex process requiring meticulous planning, adherence to regulatory standards, and consideration of environmental and safety impacts. It is a critical phase in the lifecycle of offshore oil and gas infrastructure, ensuring that the marine environment is protected and that safety is maintained throughout the process.
Liberty Industrial is proud to announce the successful completion of the explosive demolition of the Northern Producer (NP) Floating Production Platform on the 13th of June, 2024. In a “first of its kind” approach for such an asset, Liberty Industrial leveraged international experts to develop the explosive methodologies as part of a ten-month program to decontaminate, demolish, recycle and dispose of the platform in a dry dock. The sophisticated demolition design, developed in collaboration with expert subcontractors, facilitated the controlled collapse using explosive charges in 38 locations, marking one of the largest single uses of explosives at a demolition site in Europe at the time of the project.
