What an inspiring MasterClass with Samantha Devlin from Cancer Research UK! 🌟 Diving deep into the power of an audience-first approach, we explored why focusing on lifetime value and building collaborative strategies across our portfolios is essential for growth. Here's one fact we shared today from Supporter View: For each additional product a supporter engages with—whether that’s regular giving, cash donations, mid or major gifts, event fundraising, sponsorship, or emergency support—it significantly boosts their lifetime value. The data reveals that the median lifetime value jumps 6.4X for those giving via two products instead of a single product! If you needed a business case to increase team collaboration, hopefully this insight from Supporter View illustrates the transformative impact of building diverse, multi-product relationships with supporters and designing the next best ask - together. By prioritising these opportunities for engagement, we can maximise both supporter satisfaction and the long-term impact of our work. Looking forward to the next session face to face tomorrow in Sydney! If you’re interested in learning more about integrating these insights into your work, please reach out. #SupporterFirst #LifetimeValue #FundraisingGrowth

🎉 What a great way to end 2024! 🎉 I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with local charity, Hebridean Men's Cancer Support Group, to bring their annual prize draw to life. This project is so close to my heart because it’s not just about raising funds—it’s about supporting an incredible cause and creating lasting impact. Here’s what we achieved together: 🎯 Planned and executed a winning strategy. ✉️ Streamlined communications with email marketing. 🤖 Automated workflows using Zapier. 🎨 Created stunning designs and video in Canva. 🏆 Helped announce winners and celebrate their excitement! The result? We smashed their fundraising goal by thousands! 🎊 As Donnie Morrison from The Hebridean Men’s Cancer Support Group said: "Running a fundraiser of this scale is a huge logistical challenge and Diane has helped us move to a more efficient online model... the results are now self-evident. We have already signed up for her support next year!' And I couldn’t be more thrilled to support them again! If your organisation is looking to improve workflows, streamline processes, or enhance engagement, I’d love to help you achieve your goals. How could digital tools or process optimisation make a difference for you? 💬 DM me to chat. #FundraisingSuccess #DigitalMarketing #CharitySupport #WorkflowAutomation #StreamlineSuccess

🏆 Turning Competition into Impact 🌎 Thrilled to announce that together with, Theo DUVERNET, we are organizing a UK Billiard Tournament at Hilbert College as part of our Sports Event Management course. This unique experience offers us the chance to take the lead and create an event from scratch. It’s a challenge that will teach us invaluable lessons. 🎯 Our Goal: The tournament is not just about competition—it’s a requirement of the course that we have a sponsor and a charity supporting the cause. After careful consideration, we’re leaning towards supporting #Movember, a charity related with men’s health issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health. 🛠️ The Challenge: As exchange students without a strong network in New York State, finding sponsors and securing partnerships with local charities will be challenging. The task requires us to build connections and communicate our vision effectively. 🔄 What’s Next: We’re currently reaching out to potential charities and building our marketing strategy. Once both are finalized, we’ll be launching the promotional campaign to promote our event. Stay tuned for updates as we make progress. Any advice or ideas to help us along this journey would be appreciated! 🙏 #EventManagement #Movember #CharityEvent #LearningByDoing #Management #NewYork

I would be very grateful to my connections if they could share, support & if feasible, donate towards my fundraising efforts to run the Dublin marathon in October 2024. The journey has already begun… Please join me in helping a worthwhile organisation improve overall health outcomes for men. Thank you in advance 🏃♂️💪🏻 What is Movember? Since 2003, Movember, the world’s leading men’s health charity has shaken up men’s health research and transformed the way that health services reach and support men. Taking on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention, with unwavering determination. Movember is for everyone, not just for men. We all have partners, fathers, brothers, sons, and friends that we love. When these men are unwell and unsupported, we all feel it. In our families, our workplaces, and across society at large. That’s why we want to build healthier and happier men and communities. What is Movember funding in Ireland? 1) Movember’s Ahead of the Game Programme with the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) and the Gaelic Players Association (GPA) - Teaches young players, parents, coaches, and volunteers to understand mental health, build mental fitness, and strengthen resilience to deal with challenges in sport and life. 2) Age Action -Digital literacy training through Men’s E-Networks 3) Irish Prostate Cancer Outcomes Research - Promote equity of access and. improvements in care of prostate cancer patients nationally. 4) Tiger Trial - Research to discover the best way of treating men with aggressive testicular cancer. #MensHealth #Suicideprevention #Movember #Marathon #CancerResearch

💡STUDENT SPOTLIGHT💡 This month, we’re featuring Stony Brook University student and WolfieThon's former Corporate Sponsorship Chair, Seina Park. Keep reading to learn more about Seina’s involvement and dedication to the cause on her campus! ⭐ Q: What inspired you to get involved with Wolfie Thon/B+? A: I love attending the day of Wolfie Thon because it’s always so energetic and amazing to see the student community connected by such a great cause. I wanted to be a part of the team that coordinates Wolfie Thon and help make a difference in the lives of families of children with cancer. ⭐ Q: What is your best fundraising tip? A: Reach out to past teachers, current professors, family members, and friends! Tell them any amount can make a difference because it truly does even if it's just $5. Even if they don't donate, still send those emails and texts because that's one more person who can learn about The B+ Foundation on your campus. ⭐ Q: What is the greatest lesson you've learned from your involvement with B+? A: It can take time to see your hard work pay off. Just because you don't see immediate results, don't let that discourage you because you're still making a difference. As Corporate Sponsor Chair, I was faced with a lot of businesses saying they were unable to donate, but when I did finally get donations from businesses, I felt my hard work pay off. ⭐ Q: What advice would you give to someone who wants to get more involved with B+? A: Take on the position. Before being on the Executive Board as Corporate Sponsor Chair, I wasn't very involved so I was hesitant. However, because I had such a big responsibility, I knew I had to give it my all. It took some time to adjust, but once I got the hang of the position and started seeing progress, that only motivated me to work even harder.
