The supportive environment and talented team have made this a truly enriching journey. I am sincerely grateful to my amazing 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞 Ravi Jhavar 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫 Nikhil Dinani, CMT, for their invaluable guidance. Their insights and mentorship have been instrumental in navigating the complexities of the project. One of the biggest takeaways from this month has been the 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠. Devouring industry reports, analyzing market trends, and understanding the finer nuances of the financial landscape – it's all been an eye-opening experience. The project has allowed me to delve into the intricacies of 𝐧𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐠𝐞𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 with distinct regulatory environments. It's been fascinating to see how seemingly disparate factors, like infrastructure development projects, international sanctions, etc., can influence the feasibility and direction of these trade flows. 𝐀𝐝𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐌𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐢'𝐬 𝐯𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟. Finding a comfortable place to stay initially presented a challenge, but the city's infectious spirit quickly made me feel welcome. The constant hum of activity can sometimes be overwhelming, especially with the city's distinct humidity. Dear Connections, Reflecting upon my first year of MBA, I will forever foster the learnings, the failures and a few bittersweet experiences that I have faced during the period. One of such bittersweet experiences to remember for years to come was getting shortlisted for summer placement at Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Ahmedabad. Stunned by the aura of the place, there was a mix of excitement and anxiety before the interview. The interview was taken by 3 panellists P1: Tell me about yourself. H: Told P1: So how will this institute help you achieve your goals? And why did you choose RBI? H: Told P1: What are its roles and functions? H: Told P2: You mentioned a competition called Smart Manager 2.0. Tell us more about it. H: Mentioned its rounds which included Quiz, presentation and GD. P2: How would you like your career to be seen after 5 to 10 years? H: Told (mentioned work-life balance) P1: A lot of corporate employees face issues with work-life balance, especially in the beginning stage. What are your views on that? H: Told P2: How will you manage a situation where your superiors are not cooperative and may be a bit rude? H: I would sit and talk, and try to handle the situation by talking things out. P3: What was your major during graduation in BBA? H: Mentioned General Management and talked about subjects I had studied P3: How did these 3 projects you mentioned in your CV, help you? What did you learn? H: Told about 3 industrial projects with different training periods. P3: What about your hobbies? H: Told P3: Okay, thanks. Do you have any questions? H: I asked a couple of questions about the intern's day, duration, and date of joining. P2: Answered H: Okay, thank you mam. Have a nice day. Carrying out an Internship during a Post Graduation Course for a management student is a must. I am glad to share that my internship at ICICI bank (with a tenure of 8 weeks) has been completed. The internship has been a very productive journey for me where I got to experience the working in banking sector along with the challenges incurred in the process on day to day basis. Here I am sharing my key learnings derived from my experience at ICICI bank: - 1. What are the various products offered by the bank to its customers (Fund Based and Non - Fund Based). 2. How the SMEG department sets up and determines the working capital limit of a company. 3. What does the SMEG Department looks in a company's financials when providing them with a working capital limit. 4. What are the cross selling opportunities that the department gets once it has already sanctioned a working capital limit to that company. 5. The growth of MSME sector in the Country and its contribution towards the GDP of the nation. 1 Month Down, So Much Learned: My HDFC ERGO Internship Journey! Today marks the end of my mid-review and officially, one month out of my two-month internship at HDFC ERGO! Every company has its unique culture, and HDFC ERGO's is truly amazing. The energy is infectious - the moment you step off the elevator on the 6th floor, there's a buzz in the air. This first taste of the corporate world has been an incredible learning experience. Coming from a family background of government jobs, I had little exposure to how organizations actually function. Here's a glimpse of what I've learned in just one month: ✅General Learnings: The importance of soft skills and professionalism! I've witnessed firsthand how networking, email etiquette, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills play a crucial role in everyday professional settings. Plus, I've gained a deeper understanding of work processes and how a company operates on a daily basis. ✅Collaboration and Growth: An added bonus has been the opportunity to meet and work alongside interns from various esteemed institutes like IIM C, FMS Delhi, XLRI, and JBIMS.
