🎅 Our best performing Christmas event might surprise you... Every year the Laylo team takes part in a bunch of Christmas markets. Shoppers can try our wines and place orders for home delivery. It's a no-brainer. This year we've attended a small handful of brilliant events at Soho Farmhouse, Fulham Palace etc. They've all been great - and a lot of fun. But the most lucrative on a £ per hour basis? The low key "warm up" at a fancy private school in Surrey... A simple trestle table at their Christmas fair. Just me solo, partly to see an old friend and to get my head back into face-to-face selling. There's a learning in there... Something to mull over in the new year. Pun intended. But in the meantime, remember to pick up a box of Laylo to take home to the parents. Or a stocking filler for your Uncle Fred. The sooner we smash through our December target, the sooner I can put my feet up with a Primitivo and a mincey. Laura x Daisy V., Alice Warr, Amy Meekings #founderstories #startupmarketing
Someone once said to me ‘the mum drum beats the loudest’ and it sure does. Just wait for the word of mouth orders to roll in from that event too 😂🍷
Ah yes this is such an interesting lesson - often we go for what seems to be the best suited option on the outside not actually where we're going to meet our customers most effectively where they're at. Thank you for the useful reminder. Hope you have a fab Christmas!
Got my boxes of Laylo ready for Christmas. Love spreading the word - such a good brand ❤️
Brilliant ! Never underestimate school mums & wine and at a school fair, well that will always be a massive draw!! Have a wonderful last bit of 2023 and I can’t wait to see what Laylo & you do in 2024!
It was great to see you there 😊

9moExactly the same for me at a school fair in Fulham. It was massively profitable and I had some lovely conversations with lovely customers.
