As you may know, May was Mental Health Awareness Month. To connect mental health with volunteering, we asked our team to share stories of their volunteering efforts. In turn, we donated to mental health charities. Natasha Vadori, Marketing Specialist, volunteers at the Innisfil Food Bank which helped over 1,800 families last year. Anna Harris, VP of Strategy, serves as a School Governor, helping improve the educational experience for local children. Last month, we donated to Mind Charity and NAMI to support their ongoing efforts to help those struggling with mental health battles. #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth

Answer the Call – Save a Life. Yesterday, I chatted with two extraordinary charities - Haig Housing and Combat Stress. These charities are lifelines offering hope, housing, and mental health support for the veteran community and their families. At Ubique Developments, we’re pledging 5% of all our profits to be split, supporting these two causes. But it doesn’t stop there. We’re taking these corporate partnerships to the streets—using our site hoardings and other opportunities to raise awareness and rally support. If you’d like to learn more about the life-changing work of Haig Housing and Combat Stress, you’ll find links to their websites in the comments below. #UbiqueDevelopments #VeteranSupport #PayItForward

How are you doing as we are now halfway through the holiday reading? This time of year can lead to depression as we all go way too fast trying to prepare or get overwhelmed by all that needs to be done. Maybe, like me, you have lost a loved one this year and are struggling considering Christmas without them. Please know there is hope! Here is a list of ways to best cope if you are experiencing any symptoms of depression or loneliness (adapted from an everydayhealth article): 1. Stay active and get outdoors as much as possible. 2. Share your feelings with people close to you. If you don’t have people, find a good local church and attend. Talk to a pastor or leader there. They are not perfect, but most will make time to listen. 3. Reconsider who you spend time with (negative people bring negativity). 4. Write down your thoughts in a journal. 5. **My favorite and along the DO SOMETHING theme** Volunteer and spend time with likeminded people. If you have resources to donate, consider an end of year gift. For this one, check out Charity Navigator who rates non-profits fiscal accountability. (Here is an example and link to our favorite Children's Hunger Fund https://lnkd.in/g_WitrMc) If you need someone to talk to, give me a call or random text. I am willing to listen.

World Suicide Prevention Day serves as a powerful reminder of the urgent need to make suicide awareness, prevention, and support an integral part of your workplace's mental health strategy. It’s deeply concerning that fewer employees feel their workplace has a strategy in place compared to last year. Now, more than ever, it’s essential to show that support is available. #WSPD24 #SuicidePrevention #WorkplaceWellbeing #MentalHealthSupport
Today is #WorldSuicidePreventionDay - A reminder that we can all play a part in saving lives. SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) Chartered Financial Planner, Founder of SENDFA and Director of PlanIt Future Financial Ltd
What difference does special needs advice make? A world of difference. I met these clients the day before they were due to sign their will, a simple wills and trusts seminar showed them that they were about to take a wrong turn. The right advice at the right time is something every SEND parent deserves. #specialneedsplanning #invaluableadvice
