Negotiation is an art, not a science.    Reading emotions and connecting with the party across the table from you is just as important as preparing a well-crafted argument with facts and figures.    You can (and should) prepare extensively in advance for a negotiation. But once it starts, even the most experienced of negotiators know that you have to be ready to try different tactics to connect with your opponent and ultimately reach a resolution.    Previously, Dr. Florian Burgdorf (Partner and Global Head of the procurement academy and negotiation training Boston Consulting Group (BCG)) joined our nextGEN community for a two-part training on the foundations of negotiation.    He shared 30 different master tactics, varying on purchasing power and approach, that he prints out and physically brings with him to every negotiation.    This tool, along with a wealth of other INSIGHTS on the foundations of negotiating, are available inside our nextGEN community.    Not yet a member?
