Thought Architect. Specialist in Creativity, Innovation, Ethical Marketing, Branding, Social Impact Strategy. Public Speaker. My 3 agencies: My Social Impact / Creative Orchestra / CONNECT2
> LONDON BOROUGH OF CULTURE. Well done Wandsworth for winning the 2025 bid - without doubt, London's most dedicated borough for creativity & culture. But proud to have contributed to the Haringey bid - Borough of culture for 2027. The "Rebel Borough!" (Yet to work that slogan out.) The social impact work we have done through London Community Arts CIC has been a valuable contribution (it also tipped that balance and got Crouch End voted as the 'Best Place to Live in London'). The Crouch End Festival (one of London's biggest community arts festivals), Crouch End Literary Festival, running accessible venues like The Intimate Space, live music clubs like üF-Beat and topical events around Easter, Halloween and Christmas have all been part of our borough bid. Not to mention work in schools. LCA's ethos has always been to make things free to make it accessible to all. And to be 100% inclusive. To cultivate creativity. Embrace culture. Engage communities. Be open to all performers, without judgement. To build confidence and provide a safe, non-judgemental platform to perform. Never to pander to socio-political agendas or pressure, and avoid tick-box-tokenism. To cultivate grassroots activities across the whole area. There are lots of people who talk a good story about 'community engagement' and 'social impact strategy' but how many have real hands-on experience? SOCIAL IMPACT STRATEGY - ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW IN 60 MINUTES I am delivering a powerful, informative and fascinating 60-minute talk to companies on Social Impact. It tells you all you need to know in 60 minutes. It will open your eyes and give you a new lens to see things through. Based on real experience. Nobody does anything like this. As social impact campaigns are a growing trend, isn't it better to know what resonates with consumers, communities and creates a positive impact upon society? Or you could just blag it? Get it wrong and the damage to the brand can take years to fix. DEI Practitioner working with individuals and organizations to build capacity in centering DEI in their workplace competencies | Arts & Culture Equity Strategist | Educator | Keynote Speaker | Community Connecter
Performance-based Arts Organizations Partnering with Arts Education Organizations Today, I want to highlight the impact of arts education organizations, like community music schools, in our communities. They nurture creativity, foster personal growth, and build a strong sense of community. As the world changes, performance-based arts organizations must collaborate and engage new stakeholders. Adapting to evolving needs and preferences is crucial, considering challenges like a shrinking audience base. Research emphasizes the need for performance-based organizations to remain relevant. By partnering with arts education organizations, we can create meaningful impact. Here are some goals to consider: -Strengthen community partnerships with other arts education organizations, community leaders, and educational institutions for collective impact. -Embrace technology to engage new stakeholders through online platforms, streaming concerts, and interactive digital experiences. -Proactively engage historically underrecognized and marginalized communities, schools, and social organizations. -Advocate for arts education by partnering with local organizations, businesses, policymakers, and community influencers. -Embody diversity, equity, and inclusion in programming, hiring practices, and leadership roles. Let's make community connections. It's hard work but not impossible. Respectfully, Dr. Roque Diaz Interested in learning more about #DEI in the Arts Sector? URGENT: 100 Strangers Needed in 24 Hours — Minneapolis creatives, I need your help. Hello LinkedIn. It's Liban (lee~ben) here, and I'm reaching out with an urgent message. As the founder of Strangers Meeting Strangers (SMS), I find myself in a situation where I need to be fully transparent with our community. We're facing a challenge, and I take full responsibility for it. Tomorrow night, we're hosting our second non-government affiliated Town Hall at Theatre in the Round — an event that's grown from a simple idea of two strangers meeting on stage to becoming the largest intentional gathering of creatives in our city. But here's the truth: We've planned for 200 attendees, and with just 24 hours to go, we're only halfway there (100/200). This is on me. I waited too long to reach out, believing that word would spread naturally. I was wrong, and now I'm turning to you — our community — for support. Picture this: A 360-degree theater filled with artists, musicians, and creatives from all walks of life. The air is electric with anticipation. Strangers are becoming collaborators. Real, raw conversations are unfolding. The soul-stirring melodies of The Cherry Pit are washing over the crowd. Tickets available here: https://lu.ma/6518k4tt Why Attend? (1) Real Talk: Engage in honest conversations about money, purpose, and the challenges of a creative life. (2) Live Music: Experience the beautiful, soul-stirring melodies of The Cherry Pit. (3) Community Building: Be part of a movement shaping the future of our creative community. (4) Networking: Connect with fellow creatives who understand your journey. This isn't just another networking event. It's a chance to speak your truth and be heard, to shape the future of our creative community. If you're reading this, I want you to please consider yourself personally invited. And if you can't make it, I'd like you to share this message. Your single share could bring the person who changes the trajectory of our creative scene. Tickets available here: https://lu.ma/6518k4tt From one stranger to another, thank you. #StrangersMeetingStrangers #SMS #MinneapolisCreatives #TownHall #CommunityBuilding

On this episode of Arts Engines with Aaron Dworkin, he speaks to Eduardo Delgado, Public Programs Director of the New World Symphony, who shares how the symphony harnesses evolving technology to realize its artistic vision of fostering meaningful connections with the community. For Eduardo, community engagement isn't just about outreach—it's about building genuine connections in public settings. By collaborating with trusted community leaders, the symphony seeks to bridge the gap and cultivate authentic relationships with the communities they serve. As Eduardo notes, trust is earned, not assumed, and partnerships must be approached with humility and mutual respect. One shining example of the New World Symphony's commitment to accessibility is the "Wallcast" program. What began as a modest endeavor with concerts on TV screens has blossomed into full-screen projections on building walls, offering free concerts in the park—a testament to their dedication to breaking down barriers and bringing music to all. But innovation doesn't stop there. Recognizing the need for inclusivity and diversity in their audience, the symphony pioneered the "Mobile Wallcast" initiative. By taking the concert experience to communities, they're ensuring that music transcends physical boundaries and resonates with diverse audiences across Miami. At its core, this is more than just about music—it's about understanding and embracing the spaces where art breathes and evolves. Partnerships, Eduardo emphasizes, must be reciprocal, honoring the excellence that exists in every corner of our communities. Yet, we must tread with care and mindfulness. The New World Symphony, like any other organization, must be committed to entering communities where their presence is welcome, ensuring that projects and programs are co-created and mutually beneficial. Change takes time—but the rewards are worth it. #Arts #Culture #Music #Programming #Community #CommunityEngagement #AudienceEngagement #NewWorldSymphony #Miami #Florida #Technology #Artistry #Collaboration #Accessibility #Innovation #Trust #Change

It's an exciting line-up for this year's Sacrededge Festival. 30 plus artists and presenters including glorious music from Amos Roach, Kutcha Edwards, Kardajala Kirridarra, Kavisha Mazzella, ROOT ensemble band, and Neon Ngargee cultural dance class; poets and storytellers. Also keynote speakers and workshops from folks like Tyson Yunkaporta and Glenn Loughrey. Program and artist profiles and tickets link here: https://lnkd.in/gZsnZ4uR Here's the blurb for The Recollective's offering in Saturday's program: STORIES AS MEDICINE Who directs the narrative of our story? Who writes the ending? Who decides what is meaningful to take away from it? Colonialism, capitalism, and patriarchy are just a few systems that direct the cultural narrative. We are exploring ways our own actions, choices and voice can inform and determine for ourselves how our next chapter unfolds. How may we understand stories as medicine – others’ and our own? This practical session invites you to explore the use of silence, creativity, storytelling and curiosity to develop tools for creative resiliency that can support healing and recovery for ourselves and others in responding to personal and collective trauma experiences.
