Innovid's Harmony Direct event at the New York Stock Exchange yesterday included a few announcements regarding upcoming product releases, but the star of the show was their newly launched Harmony Direct offering, which CMI Media Group is an early partner of. Innovid's vision is "that TV should remain open for everyone and controlled by no one" and the goal of Harmony Direct is to optimize the supply path to ensure more advertising dollars go towards working media. This model removes the technology hops in the non-biddable CTV supply path by directly connecting publisher supply to Innovid, thus improving efficiency, transparency and control, while also creating a more sustainable supply path and reducing carbon emissions. Top 5 learnings from the Antenna State of Subscription Webinar - more charts in the thread - 1. Churn is up and Quarterly net subscriber addtion fell below 5M for the first time since 2021. 2. Ad supported tiers growing in prominence (have you noticed?) 3. Free trials are driving acquisitions, but free trial sign-ups have lower Customer Lifetime Value 4. Annual plan uptake is modest - low single digits 5. Price raises have not disrupted acquisition/retention overall, but it depends on service quality (Netflix gets away with it, Discovery+ does not)
