The best way I've learned to grow personal brand on LinkedIn: Build something. Try out new things. Learn something new. Then share what you learned on LinkedIn. The most successful brands I know are people who share their stories and lessons. Sharing your stories will help you: - Stand out from everyone else. - Make people trust you more. - Attract people who are interested in you. All my content comes from my own experience. You are not a brand? ❌ Incorrect You are you We all are ourselves Change the word personal brand to reputation They are one and the same Nothing different. Your personal brand (aka Reputation) is how other people perceive us. So surely you want to improve your reputation? Your actions in this life build your reputation. Be that face to face or in a screen if a PC or mobile phone. And being active on social media loudens and projects that reputation (aka personal brand) Which is why you see all these (normal) people, seemingly coming out of nowhere. With great content, comes viewership and from that comes great engagement - reaping the benefits. How? Not only by doing good work, yet by engaging with the world on social media openly and consistently. You can do it too. Manage your reputation. Build your personal brand. It's 100% going to be ok if your journey to building a resilient personal brand online is met with: • Doubts • Mockery • Criticism • A few laughs • Negative comments    For every hater, there are 50 more people who love what you do and who get inspired by you. Even if they may not be that loud. It's easy to be a critic. It's hard to build something valuable. Don’t be ashamed of adding value. The haters & critics won’t pay your bills. They won't get the opportunities you get either. You can achieve groundbreaking results if you stay true to adding value. Focus on those who see and appreciate the value you bring to the table. Keep your eyes on the goal and continue to enrich your audience. Ignore the noise. Keep making buzz. Am cheering for you. TL;DR: The more I focus, the less noise I hear. How do you create your personal brand on social media to help you sell your services? 🫰🏻 One significant part of this is sharing your perspectives and philosophies with your audience. The key is to ensure your content isn't bland! 🥱 Avoid the type of content that your audience has read over and over! The aim is to be a THOUGHT LEADER. 🧠 And this can be tricky. It's impossible for you to produce original thoughts every day! Arguably, you'll never have an original thought. But, you can be a critical thinker. 💭 You can have expert knowledge of the philosophies in your space. And you do have opinions and/or experience to add to those philosophies. ▫️Bring them to life with examples. ▫️Explain why certain ideas work for some but not others. ▫️"Here's an idea and here's my experience with it." ▫️"Here's an idea and here's why I think it's true/not true." ↪️ With this you can make people stop and think. You can create debate. You can prove your expertise. And you can add value. 📌 Continue to do this consistently and your profile becomes a collection of your perspectives and philosophies. Your personal brand is clearly laid out for your audience to see. And they'll see why you think the way you do. Your ideal clients will identify with you if the content resonates or provides value. That is the start of the decision to come and work with you.

Share them on YouTube, LinkedIn, or other platforms where your audience is active. · Guest Contributions:  Contribute to reputable publications or industry blogs to expand your reach and establish authority. I have a client, who has 1500 followers and 1000 connections. But you know what’s the problem with this? Her connections are: -Not active. -Not her target audience. -Not peers from her industry. The problem with having irrelevant connections is: -It hampers your reach. -Your posts don’t reach your ideal audience. But how do we know which connection requests to accept? 📌Step 1: -Check their recent activities. (Posts/comments) 📌Step 2: -If they are active, check if they are: -Your TA. -Your peers. Do you know what a #brand is? We all hear this word countless times every day, and our inboxes, texts and social media feeds are bursting with a daily stream of offers from them, but how many of us could offer up a ready definition if asked? When I do see content creators take on this challenge, it's so fast you might miss it if you blink. A quick nod to the elephant in the room and then it's on to the lessons about sales funnels, SEO or how to create the best social media post. On one hand, I get it. It's not their job to wade through the jungle of implications and misinformation around such a broad and ubiquitous term. And, their focus is on showing you a quick solution to some small part of the bigger puzzle. That's the role they've chosen and I have no issue with that. They've got brands of their own to think about. On the other hand, how can you manage something you can't clearly picture in your head or promote something you can't put into words? Shouldn't that be the first and most important step? If you don't know what your brand is and what is does, how will anyone else ever understand it? How your personal brand can supercharge your credibility, Your personal brand isn’t just about what you do, it’s about who you are and how people see you. When someone looks you up on LinkedIn, what do they see? → Do they see the real you? → Can they feel your true passion? → Are they seeing the impact you can make? It should reflect your real self; → unique journey → your values → passions So, how do you ensure that? → Share your true self. ↳ People can sense when you’re being genuine, and it helps build trust. → Don’t just be a silent observer. ↳ Engage. Here are the 6 tips to build your personal brand NOW: 1.   Identify your target audience Find the people you want to be connected with or who would relate to your content style. 2.   Pick 2-3 niches Identify the 2-3 key areas you want to target and can talk about every day. 3.   Identify your style Don’t copy others. Instead, find your own style. A style you are comfortable with or can create content for a longer time. 4.   Engage No one likes boring replies. Engage with your audience in comments, DMs or stories. Build a personal connection. 5.   Share your wins and failures Don’t just share hollow content. Add meaning, personal stories, wins and failures to it. People connect with emotions. 6.   Consistency One of the most important points. Be consistent, even on days when you don’t see results. Be disciplined and show up every damn day.
