The US Energy Industry The United States welcomes sustainable foreign direct investment into U.S. clean energy, given the fundamental shift to clean energy advanced by Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 (IRA). The law accelerates the adoption of clean energy and its enabling technologies in the United States and into the global economy. I was happy to share expert knowledge with companies on industry trends and the regulatory landscape as well as the energy supply chain. #cleanenergy

🇪🇺 A Russia-free energy strategy to compete with China and the US 🇪🇺 "Over the past five years, the EU has invested so much political capital in the European Green Pact that it cannot afford to fail. Now is not the time to backtrack, but to complete it.”, Thomas Pellerin-Carlin, member of the European Parliament's Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE), says. Pellerin-Carlin also spoke of the need for a new energy security architecture that would allow Europe to become independent of Russian energy, betting on local production, optimization of electricity grids and reduction of energy demand. 💶 Clean energy will be key not only to energy security, but also to ensuring Europe's long-term prosperity. "Solar panels, wind turbines, heat pumps, batteries, those are not only the equipment that are vital to secure that humankind can still prosper on Planet Earth, they are also the sectors that are critical to ensure Europe’s prosperity in this century." 💡 🌐 #CleanEnergy #Sustainability #EuropeanGreenPact #EnergyFuture #CleanTechnologies #Innovation. via Euronews: https://lnkd.in/dmXuwkgi

The Draghi Report, "Future of European Competitiveness," was released this past week, emphasizing the importance of the #GreenEnergy transition for revitalizing Europe's economy. The report offers strategies to enhance Europe's competitiveness, particularly in relation to rivals like the U.S. and China. A third of the report focuses on the energy sector, emphasizing the need for sustainable growth to achieve #ClimateNeutrality. Key takeaways from the report include: 📍Green Energy Transition: The EU is on track with its goals to boost renewable energy, especially solar and wind, as part of its broader climate targets to become #CarbonNeutral by 2050. 📍PFAS Regulation: While the EU continues its green transition, it proposes softer rules for PFAS (synthetic chemicals in consumer products), balancing industry concerns with the need for environmental protection. This move has been controversial given the long-lasting negative effects of these chemicals. 📍Strategic Shift: The report emphasizes the need to maintain momentum in #RenewableEnergy while addressing regulatory complexities around industries reliant on PFAS. The report's conclusions will support the Commission's efforts to develop a new strategy for the competitiveness and sustainable prosperity of Europe. 🔗 You can download the full report here: https://lnkd.in/eB-47SHQ
