We were honored to support the Drive 4 Impact annual golf tournament. It was an incredible event with amazing people, all united for a vital cause. The day underscored the importance of raising awareness about human trafficking and taking action to combat it. Here are five warning signs to watch for: - Appearing malnourished - Showing signs of physical injuries and abuse - Avoiding eye contact, social interaction, and authority figures/law enforcement - Seeming to adhere to scripted or rehearsed responses in social interactions - Lacking official identification documents If you suspect someone is a victim, please help by calling 1-888-373-7888. #Drive4Impact #EndHumanTrafficking #LundConstruction #CommunitySupport

Reminder to please sign our pledge! Only takes a minute and acknowledges the need for awareness: As many of you know, I'm part of a group of industry moms called hashtag #FiredUp. We formed this group after last year's tragic Nashville school shooting and linked arms with Brady United to show safe gun storage on screen. The idea is that if we normalize safe gun storage on screen, we might be able to shift culture. It worked for drunk driving, seat belt use, and cigarettes - isn't it worth trying with guns? We strongly believe it's in our professional power to address the #1 killer of kids in America: GUN VIOLENCE. And to be clear - we are NOT anti-gun. We are just PRO showing safe storage on screen. This Mother's Day, we're asking our friends and colleagues to sign our pledge, saying they will hold a conversation about how guns will be portrayed on screen in the writing, development, and production of their film and TV projects. Will you sign the pledge? It'll only take a moment, but it could help save a child's life. https://lnkd.in/gup73Rs2 Please forward this pledge to your networks and rally them behind this important issue!

When we speed, we gamble with more than our own safety—we risk our community's well-being. The allure of speed can end in a tragedy that extends far beyond the driver's seat, impacting lives and damaging property. As a mom of a teen who is soon to start driver’s ed, this year's AAA WA Distracted Driving Awareness Month campaign is particularly relevant. If you have a teen in your life, keep reading! We've partnered with local college student, Ishika Binu, and her organization the Safe Drive Club, to reach teens. As you might imagine, teens are significantly impacted by distracted driving. As we were developing this campaign, I was surprised to learn that the leading cause of distraction for teens behind the wheel is NOT their phones; it's their friends! That said, let's be clear: we all know phones and driving do not mix either. Through our partnership with Ishika, we hope to be able to reach more people about the importance of mitigating distractions and being mindful in the car. Putting the phone away, asking passengers to play DJ, never reaching for that backpack or purse until safely stopped. What other tips to you have to drive distraction free? #DDAM #AAAWA #Community #SafeMobilityForAll
In recognition of Distracted Driving Awareness Month, we’re teaming up with Bellevue native and Safe Drive Club founder Ishika Binu to promote distraction-free driving throughout Washington communities, especially those most at risk, like younger drivers. Ishika established the Safe Drive Club as an online platform to motivate drivers to commit to distraction-free driving after she was involved in a driving accident. Our partnership aims to harness the power of Ishika's personal journey and advocacy to make Washington roads safer by engaging and educating teens and young adults about the risks and consequences of inattentive driving. Together, we’re working to transform driving culture to make attentive and responsible driving the norm and expectation. To take the DriveSafe Pledge, please visit https://lnkd.in/gvuvR9Zj

Ever watch The West Wing? There is a 30-second clip that has lived rent-free in my head since the night it first aired and I'm bringing it up cause in this world of working remotely (which I love) it's a real issue. What's said is simple... Lawyer: Do you know what time it is? CJ: It's Five past noon L: I'd like you to get out of the habit of doing that CJ: Doing what? L: Answering more than was asked. Far too often in emails, slack messages and texts, I'll ask a question and the response I get is an answer to the question the person thinks I am trying to ask, not the question I'm actually asking. In person, it takes 5 seconds to clear up Over text, it takes way too much time/work to rephrase the question so it doesn't sound harsh. Is anyone else dealing with this? And if so, how do you handle it? https://lnkd.in/gyfPYaGe
