Strategic Advisor to government, law enforcement and NGO's tackling child sexual exploitation and abuse
Today's parents and carers face a unique challenge. The first generation of children growing up digitally native and how best to keep them safe online, and to protect themselves from potential harm while learning about and enjoying all that the digitally connected world has to offer. Too often in the workplace we only train our staff on what we believe will bring the organisation direct value. It's all about the ROI. What ROI do you think you'll get from having staff who know how to keep the most vulnerable people in their lives safer, and know that their own organisation took the time to equip them to do it? 2024 PRIORITY 4️⃣: Enhanced Exploration of Upstream Issues | Rather than a holistic approach to the whole child and whole family, systemic silos result in the disjointed compartmentalization of human beings— obscuring harmful impacts and unintended consequences across systems. But imagine the expansion of upstream efforts like MOCKINGBIRD FAMILY™ as a prevention framework to support system-involved bio-families and keep families together! Imagine preventing children’s entry into the foster care system, as well as the potential downstream impacts of homelessness and incarceration. We believe this is possible. We work with 19 Land Grant Universities and help them track their Extension efforts' impact. Why did they choose us? ... #CooperativeExtension services have a MASSIVE amount of data to manage and make sense of. By nature, they are: ↳ Decentralized: Extension programs operate across vast geographic regions, making data collection a challenge. ↳ Multi-faceted: Extension's impact touches every aspect of community life, from agriculture and youth development to environmental sustainability. ↳ Data-intensive: Tracking and reporting on the results of these diverse programs can be incredibly complex. This is where PEARS comes in. Here's how it helps: → Streamline Data Management. PEARS automates data collection, analysis, and reporting, freeing up valuable time for extension educators and specialists to focus on delivering impactful programs. → Foster Greater Collaboration. The platform facilitates seamless information sharing between extension agents, researchers, and community partners, ensuring all stakeholders are on the same page. → Demonstrate Impact and Accountability. PEARS empowers universities to effectively track and showcase the positive outcomes of their community engagement efforts. Additionally, it strengthens compliance and transparency by providing a clear audit trail for extension activities. In this video, watch one Extension Director share about how the PEARS system was born AND why it's worth it. Send us questions via our page or schedule a demo 👇🏻 https://lnkd.in/edFqUcfF
What if there was one unified platform to empower Extension services? 👋🏻 Enter PEARS Watch as Gregg Hadley, the Director of K-State Research and Extension, shares about PEARS—a platform born from the need for a single, sustainable tool to evaluate Cooperative Extension service plans and demonstrate their community impact. #PEARSPartners #CooperativeExtension

Managing Director at DRiWaterstone | Executive Search firm for Nonprofits, Foundations, Associations, Social Impact organizations. I help to recruit and hire purpose-driven leaders to join social impact organizations.
Over the past year, I’ve been asked at least a dozen times by different nonprofit executives what they can do partner with more businesses. It’s not surprising that they are looking for ways to diversify and grow their fundraising sources. Coincidentally, Eric Moraczewski invited me to join him on #The5Podcast to all about #CorporateGiving – the role corporate giving plays in a nonprofit’s development strategy, the different models of corporate giving, and who are the different decision makers within companies. We also talk about sponsorships, grants, volunteer projects, cause marketing campaigns, and CSR partnerships. Take a moment to listen to the episode and let me know what you think. And if you have any other tips on how nonprofits should approach corporate giving, please leave a comment. https://lnkd.in/g2HX23C9 Finally, if you are looking to launch or grow the corporate fundraising program at your nonprofit or community foundation, please reach out to our team at DRiWaterstone. We can help you recruit and hire an experienced fundraiser who understands how to communicate with corporate leaders and how your organization can position itself to pursue win-win corporate partnerships. Managing Director of Bearwood Community Hub CIC, ambitiously striving for inclusive social change to enable all in our community to thrive.
Time is running out for us. At Bearwood Community Hub CIC we are working our socks off to try and save the Bearwood Corks Social Club building on Bearwood Road. We need a philanthropic individual to help us. The immediate hurdle is needing a £100k investment to pay off the Corks' debts to HMRC and prevent their liquidation, in return for a charge on the building, paid back when we (or others) buy. If we succeed, the Asset of Community Value designation we achieved can stay in place and we will have time to raise the funds for the building purchase and remedial works. If we don't succeed, liquidation of the club is likely, with a quick sale to private developers. Yet another heritage building lost in Smethwick, and a rare opportunity lost for our social impact work to become more financially sustainable. *We have until 12th June, a little over a week* Yet I refuse to give up until the last possible moment. We all know there is plenty of money out there, but that getting it to where it can have biggest social impact is often an impossible task. Our community has already pledged £25k towards the purchase in 3 weeks, more than 250 people have responded to our online consultation (huge if we compare to most Sandwell-wide public consultations) and over 100 turned up to our consultation events. So who do you know with a philanthropic mindset who might make this relatively low risk investment (low risk as the building will definitely be sold within months and funds paid back)? Watch the video and tell me it's not worth it! https://lnkd.in/ebD3jfBj
