The International Air Transport Association's (IATA) called for governments to provide financial support to the aviation industry, citing the impact of geopolitical tensions and rising fuel costs. Despite a strong financial performance in 2023, airlines face challenges such as increased operating costs and reduced passenger demand due to geopolitical instability. The IATA urges governments to implement measures to mitigate these challenges and support the industry's recovery, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between governments and airlines to ensure the sustainability of the aviation sector.
