From engineer to manager at MAHLE! Carlos' career path at MAHLE: ●Master's degrees in Telecommunications Engineering and Business Administration ●Joined MAHLE as a hardware engineer for the eWaterpumps product line ●Then development engineer & manager for heating control units, supervision of projects from acquisition to follow-up ●Current position: Head of Electronic Hardware Development ●Responsibilities: Process optimization, problem-solving support, team management, and team development "Technical training is essential for keeping up with the ever-changing automotive industry. The soft skills and people management training at MAHLE taught me how to approach different people and communicate better. I also learned how to handle and resolve team conflicts." #DualStudies at Schaeffler: We asked our dual students what they particularly like about the practical part of their studies at Schaeffler. From the lecture hall to the racetrack: 📖🏎️ For Tim, the dual study program with us is a dream come true! He is a dual student in the field of mechanical engineering in our "Two in One" program and develops technology for our sports cars on the racetrack as part of the Schaeffler team! For Tillmann, studying at Schaeffler means teamwork. 🤝 "There is no hierarchical thinking and no ego culture. Even as a student, you are a valued colleague whose input contributes to the success of the team." He is studying business administration with a specialization in automotive retailing and particularly appreciates the variety of the course content. Sophia, who is enthusiastic about the versatility of the dual study program at Schaeffler, has a similar view: "My studies give me a very varied everyday life – it never gets boring!" This is also due to the exciting challenges that have to be mastered in the team. Transformation is everywhere When I started in 2008 during the financial crisis at Bosch as a junior buyer, I was not at all aware of the path my professional life would take. I was the happiest guy on earth, being part of such a great team and in a great job. Already then, changing perspectives was key to understanding the needs of our business partners. From purchasing in different roles, I was drawn to the sales of our Electrification team – what an awesome, dynamic area to work in. Changing perspectives played an important role for me here as well, as I clearly understood the needs of our customers. After a short stint as project lead of a change management project, I was honored to join Powertrain Solutions, being responsible for the Office of the Executive (OFE) for the president, also commercially responsible for Powertrain Solutions. This dream role allowed me to be close to the board of management during a time of significant transformation for our company, enriching my working life and teaching me even more about changing perspectives in challenging times. In October 2022, I moved to the Bosch's headquarters in Gerlingen-Schillerhöhe, helping to prepare for our new setup at Bosch Mobility, which went live on July 1, 2024. I am very thankful for the 1.5 years being part of the OFE team for our sector board at Bosch Mobility, focusing on commercial and finance (even though I am not a controller at all 😊). Now, since July 1, 2024, a new chapter has begun for me. I have again chosen to change function, bringing experience from three different functions to the table. As we are in the midst of transformation, I am really happy to be part of the team making it happen. I would like to say THANK YOU to all my former and current leaders who supported me in trying new things and not just following classical career paths. After 5.3 years, the time has arrived to bid farewell to Bosch I have been blessed with good luck to work with some of the brightest minds as my colleagues who provided ample opportunity for my learning and growth. Reflecting on my journey, I realize that there's no better way I could have spent these years than being a part of Bosch’s incredible journey. In the last 5.3 years I had the opportunity to learn many things from my leaders and colleagues. I want to callout some of those learnings: * The greatest learning often occurs during life's most challenging phases. * If you are able to find one thing that you truly care about and stick to that then success will follow you eventually. * Focusing less on your weaknesses and more on your strengths usually produces better results. Treat others as you wish to be treated; respect begets respect. * Honesty is vital for building trust and fostering a safe, open environment. * In many situations, asking questions is more beneficial than giving advice. Thanks to all of my colleagues for making my time at Bosch Global Software Technologies remarkably fruitful. Amidst the highs and lows, I depart with profound contentment, a strong sense of belonging, and joy!

Time is a concept whose definition can vary from person to person and from one moment of life to another. Some may say, "Time is money," while others remark, "Time flies," and its interpretation can differ greatly. Today, when I opened my mailbox, I received a pleasant message and surprise, marking twenty-one years since I joined Schaeffler. From being a 15-year-old apprentice to where I am now, much has changed in my life. Now, I am Husband, a Girl's Dad, and a contributor to the company. So, today, I define time as #experience! This month marks my first 100 days in my new role as member of the board of management at Bosch and I must say, time flew by incredibly fast. I am already feeling right at home - thanks to everyone who made my start so seamless.🙏 It's been an incredible journey filled with many 'firsts'. From the initial introductions to getting to know so many new people and quickly absorbing a vast amount of knowledge, these first days were both exciting and inspiring. Overall, I can say: It feels really good to be at Bosch and part of the team. Whenever I dive into a new responsibility, my top priority is always listening to all my dedicated new colleagues and build relationships with them. This is even more true now that I am not only new to this position but also new to the company. I want to learn what motivates our team, our strengths, areas where we can improve, and how we can achieve our goals together. What has impressed me most so far is the high level of motivation and commitment of all the experts and stakeholders I have the privilege of working with. Their passion and relentless commitment to excellence is truly motivating.💪 And what’s next? Now is the time to fine-tune our future direction. Together. Nevertheless, I can’t help but feel a sense of pride in what we have achieved so far. This gives me confidence that we’re more than capable of overcoming any challenges ahead. As I look back on the first 100 days, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the warm welcome and support I have received.
