What they don't mention about the make-your-own-schedule type of nurse jobs (like legal nurse consulting or expert work): ✔️ you may work weekends ✔️ you may work holidays ✔️ you may be up until midnight ✔️ and then again at 5am ✔️ you may work more than 8 hours a day ✔️ you may have no work for weeks ✔️ you may never know when your next client will come along ✔️ you may have absolutely nothing certain Nurses, take heed. There are so many posts expounding on how to leave the bedside and get paid immediately. I caution interested nurses to do their research before jumping in. This weekend, for example, I worked nonstop between my clinical job and my expert work. I left when everyone was asleep, worked all day (including my lunch break) into the evening, came home, played hide and seek with the kids for 20 minutes, and then it was bedtime. It may not be as glamorous as some make it out to be, but I love it. Just be aware, do your research, and know that basic skills such as grammar, organization, time management, and report writing are unequivocally important to have established before embarking on such a career path. #nurse #expert #ernurse #emergencynurse #lnc #wfh #legalexpert #law
I always say being a LNC or and expert is not easier than bedside, it’s just different.

You will never (rarely) leave town without your laptop!
A cautionary tale I'm quickly learning. It's a lot of time spent and patience, but it's an amazing thing!
