💡Inspiring Panel Discussion on Clusters for European Competitiveness In the context of building new and reshaping existing value chains, Kerstin Jorna facilitated a panel discussion with Christian Ketels Montse Daban Marín Bianca Muntean, PhD Mark Andries and Andrea Barbagelata on the future role of clusters. My key takeaways 1️⃣ Clusters have a key role in creating new business environments with the various players in Green and Digital Transition. 2️⃣ Innovation principles need to be applied to clusters themselves moving forward 3️⃣ Real economic, societal and environmental impact is the ultimate goal 4️⃣ Complexity of challenges requires cross-sectoral cluster collaboration („connecting the dots“) 5️⃣ Collaboration of private, public and research organizations empowers SMEs in their (inter)national development. 6️⃣There is an imminent need to build more and strengthen clusters in Aerospace and Defence and take learnings and best practices from existing clusters According to Kerstin Jorna, „Clusters are about alignment of purpose“ #EUClusterConference Purpose Alliance Xponential Ecosystem

The aerospace sector finds itself going into a highly unusual period as it enters 2021, DHS Ventures & Holdings shares: On the one hand, investors in the industry should definitely brace themselves for some near-term weakness. On the other, any overly negative reaction to the news flow and earnings reports in the coming months should be regarded as a potential buying opportunity in the higher quality names like Raytheon Technologies In 2020, space investments remained strong at $25.6 billion, and the momentum for investments is likely to remain solid in 2021 as well. Space launch services are expected to record strong growth in 2021, with the market forecast to grow more than 15.7% year over year.
