Colour the Trails Annual Report for Sept 2022 to Dec 2023 (we are switching to calendar years) is out, and we could not be more proud of all that we've accomplished. Year after year, we just keep growing and expanding our impact, while continuing to maintain a depth of quality, human connection at all of our events. As I stepped into my new role of Partnership Strategist last year, we took a page in the report to introduce my role and how I'll be serving the organization. Read the full report on our website: https://lnkd.in/eMDH_dPJ and let us know what you think! What are you impressed by, what would you like to see more of, and what are you curious to learn more about?

Yesterday I had the privelige to attend Northwestern Mutual for their Team Gold Luncheon, where they recognized and rewarded outstanding advisors and interns for their remarkable work, efforts, and success, followed by an incredible and motivating speech presented by Paul Montello, CLU®, ChFC®, CLTC, RICP®. This opportunity was such a unique experience as someone completely outside the company getting invited to see what it’s like to be a part of an amazing company culture. I am truly blessed Chance Goff reached out to me to connect with Taylor Randol who got to know me not just as a professional but as a person as well, and shared a little bit about the company that led to this incredible opportunity. I cannot thank these folks enough for networking with me and allowing me to be a part of the company culture for a day. Paul’s speech was extremely insightful on self motivation and motivating others to succeed and improve productivity and lifestyle overall. Some key takeaways I want to incorporate in my own life and work right now are: Breakfast for Champions: The Morning Routine - 7 questions to reflect on progress and improvement The power of mentorship and how to gain a mentor. How to be relentless in pursuing learning and growth - understanding the importance in a positive/optimistic outlook - asking, “how can I provide more value?” The significance of gratitude and giving - It is more rewarding to give than to receive - A little bit of gratitude can go a long way The most influential point in his speech was how much more successful/productive you can be by taking the first 3 hours of your day seriously to knock out the big/difficult to do’s. It was an absolute honor to experience Northwestern Mutual culture and listen to Paul’s speech. In just 2 hours they were so impactful and able to show exactly how much their core values mean to them and what an amazing company they are to work for. I never imagined a company to truly care about and celebrate their employees’ success and hard work the way Northwestern Mutual does. I hope to see more of this in the future!

Managing Partner, Sosna + Co. | Life Science Business Development | Matchmaker | Helping leaders expedite deals to drive growth | Podcast Host 🎙
Summer is in full force, which means…it’s the best time to plan for 2025.☀️ This is what I’m helping my clients with right now: ✅Building a robust network: My team and I are running outreach campaigns for numerous companies and tracking the results. ✅Exploring alternate paths to market: Launching a branded product isn’t the only way! I help Sosna + Co’s clients find strategic partners, licensing opportunities they never would have discovered on their own, pathways to global markets, and more. ✅Crafting better messaging: From your pitch deck to investor relations, I help companies develop a compelling brand story that forges a stronger connection (and gain new business or investment). I’m curious: What are you working on right now? Leave a comment and let me know! If any of this strikes a chord with you, let’s jump on a call: https://buff.ly/3VkZY7B

Incoming International Marketing Intern @ Universal Pictures | 4A's MAIP 2024 Fellow | M.S Digital Social Media @USC Annenberg
Summer of transformation (1/2) 🌳 Guess who can now sing "and when I'm back in Chicago" and actually mean it ;) I love LA, but spending ten days in a city that feels so "city" made me feel alive! This May, I was selected to join a distinguished cohort of students from USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism for the Chicago Maymester, an immersive professional experience in the Windy City. From speed walking in the Loop and morning lobby debriefs to family-style pizza and group manifestations, this trip ranged from stimulating to wholesome. What kind of strategist would I be if I didn't summarize the key learnings? 🔑 How to learn multi-dimensionally: Exploring a breadth of industries including music, sports, news, radio, and PR in a short span can seem overwhelming. We often gravitate towards our core interests and limit our attention elsewhere. I made a conscious effort to give equal attention to every area, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much each one enriched my perspective on my core passions of advertising and entertainment. 🔑 How to ask good questions: I am certain the formula for good questions is being prepared with context + active listening + predicting white spaces that everyone might benefit from + my own POV + succinct articulation + confidence! 🔑 How to take up space: Imagine speed-dating, but instead, you're visiting companies, learning about them, listening, and networking! This experience pushed me to make myself be seen and heard in professional settings and realize that space isn't scarce. There is enough room for my colleagues and me to gain value! I'm grateful to the teams at all our company visits at FCB Chicago, Golin, Weber Shandwick, NewsNation, Grubhub, Wasserman, Big Ten Network, Kevin Pang, Chicago Bulls, Chicago Blackhawks, Octagon, Flowers Communications Group, McDonald's, WBEZ Chicago and the Obama Foundation for creating such enriching learning interactions. A big thank you to Fred Cook, Melanie Scherenzel-Cherry, Mike Ploszek, and Katy Kelly for organizing a wealth of insightful company visits. And finally, a big shoutout to the whole group for being superstars—you all shine so bright ⭐ #chicago #uscannenberg #networking #fighton
