During March we’re celebrating B Corp Month, along with our B Corp community. By reflecting on the ways we’ve already created an impact globally and looking for new ways to reach even more people in 2024. Because B Corp certification isn’t a destination. Very excited to announce that as of October 1st, Plenaire has joined the 1500 businesses in the UK that are certified Benefit Corporations ( B Corps) What is a B Corp? "Certified B Corporations are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose." ✅Plenaire is now part of a community of 7,000 businesses globally who have certified as B Corps. The B Corp community in the UK, representing a broad cross section of industries and sizes, comprises over 1,500 companies and include well-known brands such as The Guardian, Innocent Drinks, The Body Shop and organic food pioneers Abel & Cole ✨✨ ✅For Plenaire, this means that we will continue to place social impact at the heart of our business, via the 3 key pillars as stated in our B Corp Impact Business Model: From connecting everyday beauty rituals to emotional health, serving underserved communities, through to environmental leadership achieved via producing locally, measuring & offsetting carbon, and emphasizing a zero waste approach to consumption and packaging : Plenaire's B Corp goals reflect what we’d like to see from the beauty community at large over time.💚 ✅And we don’t intend to stop there!Through the process of certifying we have discovered that there is a lot more we can do across our stated pillars. Whilst achieving this certification is a big win, there is more to come. ✅Over the next 3 years, we intend to continue to emphasise social impact by aiming to continuously improve our B Corp score and we will share these plans with you as our journey continues. Qualifying as a B Corp is a commitment to continuing to strive for excellence, rather than an end goal in itself. But for now, please join us in celebrating what is a huge milestone for our brand. ✨✨ #bcorp #sustainablebusiness #beauty #sustainability #independentbeauty #madeintheuk #mentalhealth #beautybusiness #bcorpuk #benefitcorporation💚

Smart Meetings Innovator Award Recipient | 3x LinkedIn Top Voice | Speaker & Thought Leader | Data-Driven Storyteller | Event Strategist | Delivering Transformative & Impactful Solutions
Day 3 at Pharma Forum, and I'm still riding the emotional high. We kicked things off on day 1 with a promise to really listen and empathize, and wow, did we stick the landing up until the final day. The waterworks weren't a joke today. Between an unforgettable CSR gig with Cheeriodicals | Team Building That Matters leading the pack (and leading with heart) to an eye-opening session with Dr. Erika Michalski, it was a day of real feelings. And yes, between the sequins, bubbles, and all the fun, the heart of the message hit hard. Participating in the Cheeriodicals activity, I was all in - selfie tripod in hand, of course. But beyond the clicks and shares, there was this profound moment of realization. Thinking about the child who'd receive my box, the joy it might bring... it was something else. Big love to Cheeriodicals for spreading that joy. And Dr. Erika, she made me rethink my "bubbly optimistic" badge that I wear all too often, even when that's not how I'm really feeling. Life's not always sequins and good vibes; it's tough, messy, and real. Her talk on toxic positivity and making space for all feelings, not just the cheerful ones, tugged hard on the heartstrings. It's about truly caring, about lifting each other in this heavy, beautiful life. And how FAB-U-LOUS were her sequins pants!?! 😍 Couldn't have asked for a better end. Kudos to the Informa Connect Life Sciences team for a genuinely impactful conference. Here's to bringing all we've learned and felt into our everyday. #pharmaforumsgoingtoBoston2025! #pharmaforum #eventsprofs #medicalmeetings #meetingsandevents

President & CEO, The Beryl Institute | Founding Editor, Patient Experience Journal | President, Patient Experience Institute | Best Selling Author: Transforming the Future of Healthcare
Friday thoughts: COMMUNITY is the foundation and VALUES are the key drivers for Innovation & Change. An Invitation to Join Us. In the summer of 2010 we gathered a small band of pioneers to shape and launch The Beryl Institute global community, with a simple idea - if you bring together committed, compassionate, innovative human beings great things can happen. And they have! (See our story: https://lnkd.in/ebPuX86u). I would be remiss now if I didn't invite you to join us on our journey. It was 13 years ago this week we were putting the finishing touches on what would become a membership community of practice - where the ideas of all are invited, valued, shared, learned from and built on to push the boundaries of what is possible. All with a core idea...that through our shared commitment and actions we could transform healthcare. I believe we have and continue to do so every day through a tapestry of voices from healthcare professionals and experience champions, to patients and care partners to solutions providers and vendors. All are invited, valued and included. The values (https://lnkd.in/eVk6hMgG) we built the #community on then, reflect who we remain today. They are the heart of our community. And I believe these values are essential to all we do in transforming the #humanexperience. They are the foundations on which #innovation and #change are even possible. Our core values remain: #Accessibility. Commitment to open access, a spirit of generosity and the active invitation to engage and contribute that continuously expands reach and sustains growth. (Note: Almost half of what the Institute community creates is open for all to use...we only can raise the tide of healthcare if we have access to what can help us grow). #Agility. Ability to rapidly reconfigure and realign resources to lead in new directions and respond as needed within the industry #Innovation. Vigilance in continuously searching for new ways of thinking, doing and disseminating ideas #Inclusivity. Purposeful consideration of expansive ideas and the engagement of all voices to ensure the broadest perspective and awareness #Collaboration. Recognition that overall success is driven by a willingness to partner with others in the sharing of ideas, information and action that ensures better outcomes for all involved If these values speak to you, reflect who you are or what you seek in a professional home, we are here. The stories that emerge from our community are profound, moving, impactful...they are YOUR stories and there are many more chapters to be written. So lets continue to transform the human experience together. I remain #grateful to all who have travelled this journey so far and am inspired by all that awaits ahead. PS. I'd love to hear your stories of how our global community impacted or supported your work...please share below.

Dear friends, How do we do it? How do we show up every day with courage and vulnerability, while witnessing distress and destruction in the world around us? How do we make sense of education in the Anthropocene? Here are some questions that have been playing in mind, while working with the community at Ecolint in my new role as Sustainability Lead. Having met you, or being otherwise aware of your work, I thought you might be interested in joining the S4RF community, in which we aim to follow these questions to their source. Once it is clear that we can't 'tick-box' our way out of the polycrisis, how do we respond? S4RF aims to bring people together and allow them to explore these questions. I don't have the answer, but I am convinced that as a community we can get closer to the answer of how to respond. It is inevitable that we will encounter colleagues that inspire us and help us shift our communities. It is those connections that will allow us to grow an ecosystem strong enough to actively consider these daunting questions and find actionable approaches. What is clear, is that a bold goal is needed to inspire us and that is exactly what Schools for Regenerative Futures proposes: working towards schools where students can prototype the future, fuelled by curiosity, compassion and courage. What tweaks are needed to our systems, what conversations do we need to have and how do we show up? I hope you will be able to join us. If so, please register using the link below. Feel free to share the invitation with colleagues and friends. A big shout out to my friend Zoe Badcock who is helping me with the tech, as well as forging this way forward together! You are invited to a Zoom meeting. When: Oct 30, 2023 04:00 PM Zurich Register in advance for this meeting: https://lnkd.in/eDxnPfQC After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. I look forward to seeing you there! Take care, Jan

A very interesting morning yesterday at the Galgorm Collection for the inaugural NI Chamber #MomentumNI conference. A few takeaways: Companies need 👉 #Stability (the Executive is back - let's keep it) 👉 #Clarity (Minister Conor Murphy has outlined his key priorities - a good start but policy must follow) 👉 #EaseOfTransaction (Northern Ireland Electricity Networks are ready to invest the required £billions to achieve #NetZero goals and can access the finance but are curtailed by investment limits) 👉 #LongTermPlanning (To address the persistent challenge of Low Productivity alongside the limitations posed by a full labour market, stalled housing development, changing migration regulation, inflation, ageing workforces and child care to generate #competitiveness we need plans that go beyond 3-4 year election cycles) 👉 #Collaboration (There is no single #energy source that can deliver Net Zero - We need an optimal energy solution that is made up of a combination of Wind, Solar, GeoThermal, Bio-methane, Green Hydrogen and E-Fuels and this require providers to work together alongside industry. Great to see CATAGEN LIMITED - a Net Zero Technologies company, Wrightbus and Terex Corporation announcing that they will be ready to demonstrate what they are working on as a Global solution by Q4 of this year as well as the commitment of Encirc to think strategically about how they can support Bio-methane for the whole Western region as opposed to just their own operations!) As ever carbonfit are here to support companies, large to small on the journey to #greengrowth.
🎥More than 300 businesspeople joined policymakers including Department for the Economy NI Minister Conor Murphy and the new Chief Executive of Invest Northern Ireland, Kieran Donoghue for #MomentumNI, a collaborative conference designed to facilitate deeper co-operation between industry and policymakers. Attendees also heard from 18 panellists over the course of the morning including representatives from KPMG, GRAHAM Group, NIE Networks , FIRMUS, CATAGEN LIMITED - a Net Zero Technologies company, Encirc, Wrightbus, AMIC, Version 1, AwakenAngels, Eakin Healthcare, Business in the Community Northern Ireland, EY, Health Innovation Research Alliance Northern Ireland (HIRANI), John Campbell and Suzanne Wylie. Hosted by NI Chamber with the support of headline sponsor Ulster Bank and supporting sponsors BT Group and ESB, the event coalesced around key pillars including #competitiveness, #greengrowth, #innovation and #inclusivity.
