Today’s InDaily Top 100 South Australian Companies marks its tenth year and celebrates this milestone alongside Santos Ltd who have ranked #1 every year. Santos makes up 38% of the Index’s value and is an integral player in our state’s history and its future. They also celebrate 70 years of energy leadership this year. Beach Energy Ltd ranked third and highlighted the ongoing importance of oil and gas, which account for 41% of the Index value by industry. OreCorp Board recommends amended Perseus proposal. According to the ASX Release 25 March 2024 OreCorp Limited Board recommends that shareholders ACCEPT the amended Perseus proposal once it becomes capable of acceptance, in the absence of a superior proposal. The release further highlights that the  Silvercorp Offer has lapsed and OreCorp has exercised its right to terminate the Bid Implementation Deed dated 27 December 2023. The details of the release can also be read in the 4th Supplementary Bidder's Statement released by Perseus Mining Limited earlier today. In a statement, Perseus confirmed that - No superior proposal has so far emerged.  - Perseus increased its Offer Consideration to A$0.575 per OreCorp Share. -OreCorp received acceptance intention statements (Intention Statements) from key OreCorp Shareholders collectively representing 15.61% of OreCorp Shares on issue stating that they will accept the Perseus Offer before the end of the trading day on 27 March 2024. The directors of OreCorp have also confirmed that they intend to accept the Offer in respect of all OreCorp Shares which they and their Associates own or control. This represents 3.9% of the current issued OreCorp Shares. This time last year we released the Queensland Critical Minerals Strategy and we’re already putting much of the strategy into action. Here’s what we’ve achieved so far: 👉 Critical Minerals Queensland up and running, our state’s ‘front door’ to develop the critical minerals sector 👉 Established Critical Mineral Zones in Julia Creek-Richmond and Mt Isa-Cloncurry, to serve as a hub for exploration, extraction and processing 👉 Launched the new Collaborative Development Program providing $5 million in grants for reprocessing minerals in mine waste 👉 $0 rent for mineral exploration permits for five years, reducing barriers to exploration of critical minerals 👉 Opened the Queensland Critical Mineral & Battery Technology Fund to help meet growing demand for clean energy technologies. With $315 million in initiatives, the strategy sets out our vision to grow Queensland’s critical minerals sector and seize the opportunities of the clean energy transition. Run by the Geological Survey of Queensland, our renowned CEI program aims to encourage the discovery and development of Queensland's critical mineral deposits to help meet the growing demands of the world's technology and renewable industries. Strategic Energy Resources Limited is pleased to announce that the Company has received firm commitments from institutional and sophisticated investors to raise gross proceeds of A$2M. The funding will support exploration of the Achilles 1 Polymetallic Prospect in the South Cobar Basin. The placement was cornerstoned by respected resources investment funds Datt Capital and Lowell Resources Fund. Datt Capital, an existing major shareholder of SER, has nominated partner and head of research Mr Tony Gu to the board of SER as a Non-Executive Director effective 23 May 2024. SER Managing Director, David DeTata said: “The strength of investor demand for this Placement is a clear signal to the Company that the Achilles 1 Prospect needs to be drilled tested.
