What are the benefits of uniting around water? Today we continue our social media drive for the #worldwaterday by discussing about the benefits of uniting around water based on the factsheet for the world water day 2024. So let's dive into it... Water cooperation across borders and sectors has proven to generate benefits that accelerate progress across Sustainable Development Goals, including delivering safe drinking water and sanitation, enhancing food security, sustaining healthy livelihoods and ecosystems, helping to address resilience to climate change, contributing to disaster risk reduction, providing renewable energy, supporting cities and industry, and fostering regional integration and peace. Trans-boundary cooperation is essential for creating enabling conditions for investment and security. It also enhances preparedness to protect ecosystems and human health, especially in case of crisis such as drought, flood or accidental pollution. In an ever-evolving market, the Danish water technology sector is coming together in China to adapt to new demands. Recently, the Water and Environment team has established an alliance structure that brings together Danish water technology companies, including industry leaders such as GRUNDFOS, AVK, and Danfoss, to navigate shifting market dynamics 🌍💧🔗 The success of Danish water technology firms in China over the past decades has been remarkable. However, as China's water sector transitions from infrastructure development to high-quality management, market demands have shifted. There is now a greater focus on cost-effective and low-carbon operation solutions rather than individual high-quality products. To meet this new market paradigm, Danish Export Association – Water China (DEA-Water China), Danish Ministery of the Environment - Environmental Protection Agnecy (DEPA) and The Trade Council’s Water and Environment Team (TC-W&E) at the Denmark in China have established a partnership on Water in China. On the basis of this extremely strong partnership, and based on the good results created through DEA’s U-S-E Water 1.0 in the past 4 years, they are ready to continue developing business opportunities in China for Danish water companies through U-S-E Water 2.0. Danish water tech, known for digital monitoring and low-energy solutions, aligns with China's sustainability goals, offering valuable contributions to green development. The first meeting of the Water Alliance on December 14, 2023, paved the way for quarterly gatherings, providing opportunities for other water tech companies to join in 2024 https://lnkd.in/ee4azA_h
