Monarch Training & Consulting’s Post

One of the biggest challenges we see with performance evaluations is not what happens during that process, but more so about what happened (or didn't) well before we get to the point of performance evaluations. Performance evaluations should be focused on feedback relative to expectations, as well as a summary/recap of previous feedback conversations. We run into trouble if the above 2 things did not happen all year! We recommend quarterly "mini-reviews" to ensure that you are reviewing/updating the big goals, and ensuring you are recapping/providing holistic feedback along the way. This process not only helps performance and engagement all year long, it will make the annual review more effective and fair. Need support to revitalize performance management in your organization?
