IWRM, Water-Food-Energy, Urban water-sanitation-drainage systems. Water connects the interrelated dimensions of development. It is a fundamental pillar of planetary systems and supports almost all human endeavors.
Concerns about ecosystem restoration are valid. But any intervention program must be part of more systemic approach aimed to restore bioduversity, water, soil and productive practices. otherwise all what we have is a group of scattered, isolated interventions not sustainable in the long-term.

Just discovered the work of Jake Robinson & colleagues. Not only are scientists discovering that the sounds of soils can indicate #soilhealth but #fungi grow faster when they can hear the soundscape of soil. #Fascinating #soilscience #scientificresearch #sustainability #soilbiology #agriculture #ecosystem https://lnkd.in/e9eGbFMs https://lnkd.in/gYayDWsy
Playing sounds to fungi seems to make them grow faster, which may allow researchers to speed up composting and habitat restoration.
