Classic rookie lawyer mistake: focusing more on what you DO instead of who you HELP. People don't care about your fancy title - they care about their problems! The key is to flip the script and focus more on how you are uniquely positioned to help solve your client's problems. Let your ideal clients know you deeply understand their struggles and educate them on the amazing results you are equipped to get them. **The result? ** MUCH higher conversion rates and a thriving practice! For more mistakes lawyers and law firm owners should avoid to have their best year yet, listen to the latest episode of The Law Entrepreneur! Part 2 on this topic drops this Friday! Sucky intake = sucky profits. If you're a lawyer who treats intake as an afterthought... You're probably not making as much money as is possible for your law firm. Perhaps you think because you've already closed the deal, the only work left to do is win the case.... WRONG. Your client relationship started before the first discovery call and has the potential to extend beyond this case and into the future for repeat business. But not if you drop the ball. When you fumble your intake, you fail to instill confidence and relief in your client and land your law firm in uncertain water. Do this more than once and you establish a reputation for delivering poor client service or worse, get a negative Google review, both of which hurt your law firm's growth. Treat your intake process like the lifeblood of your firm and watch your success take off! 4moIt's easy to forget that we're service providers, it's a challenge many of my clients deal with as well. Orientating our descriptions of our work and role in terms of the stakeholders, problems, and the solutions they provide is much easier for the stakeholder to immediately understand if your business is worth their time. Then it's just a question of price.
