The first ever International Day of Clean Energy takes place today. teamtechnik is already 100 % powered by green electricity. 💚🔌 Thanks to the photovoltaic systems on our roofs, we were able to generate around 450 000 kwh of clean energy last year, all by ourselves. As stated in our climate policy, we are committed to contributing to achieving the 1.5 °C goal of the Paris Climate Agreement. With this in mind, we have set ourselves ambitious goals, which we aim to achieve by 2030: _ 70% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions at our site _ 15% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions in our upstream and downstream supply chains, when compared with the base year 2019 The International Day of Clean Energy was declared as a call to raise awareness and mobilize action for a just and inclusive transition to clean energy for the benefit of humankind and the planet. #teamtechnik #weliveautomation

🌿 Day 2 at the Nature Positive Summit 🌍 Today’s session, "How to achieve nature positive and net zero: Bringing together climate and nature agendas", has underscored the critical need to ensure that renewable energy expansion and nature-positive outcomes go hand-in-hand. As David Fredericks emphasized, while there are contestable challenges and trade-offs to navigate, it is essential to balance the urgency of renewable energy deployment with thoughtful consideration of environmental impacts. A few key takeaways from ongoing Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) work streams: 1. Early and proactive engagement with project proponents on where best to site renewable energy projects—ensuring we consider environmental impacts right from the start. 2. The EPBC framework is informed by the dual goals of nature and climate. For instance, climate impact modelling on species and ecosystems will guide smarter decisions.
