Where were you on 9/11? Each of us has a story from that day—a moment of disbelief, sadness, and reflection that changed the world forever. For many, it was the beginning of a new sense of purpose. We remember not only the lives lost but also the resilience, unity, and courage that followed. At NAIS, we carry that spirit of resilience in our work. Our mission is to protect and serve—whether it’s securing critical systems or supporting national defense efforts. Just as 9/11 showed us the importance of preparedness and collaboration, we continue to uphold these values in everything we do. Take a moment today to reflect. Where were you when it happened, and how can we all continue to contribute to a stronger, safer future? #NeverForget #911Remembrance #Resilience #NAIS #UnitedWeStand

Here’s the latest from the team—big thanks to Patrick Reilly and Sean Harper for their collaboration on this piece, and more to follow! 📝 In our new article with CIMSEC: Center for International Maritime Security, we build on our past work by further articulating the Marine Corps' unique value proposition as a stand-in force in the Western Pacific in potential future conflict. 💡 We dive into potential misalignments within the #SIF concept, particularly the risks of over-relying on the viability of #CJADC2. The Marine Corps’ contributions to CJADC2 are increasingly dependent on high-cost, exquisite systems, particularly in the air and space domains—systems that lack the risk diversity needed in a contested environment and are called for by the SIF concept. 💥 Finally, we highlight the need to close kill chains with a more diversified and deeper arsenal of SIF owned munitions, ensuring greater resilience and flexibility in future conflicts. Additional thanks to Brian Kerg, for reviewing and giving his insights, and to Walker D. Mills for his editorial work with #CIMSEC. #MarineCorps #USMC #ForceDesign #IndoPacific #A2AD #NationalSecurity #KillChains https://lnkd.in/gtc4HvSc

The Irregular Warfare Center (IWC) is excited to share its latest news release highlighting the launch of the Center’s first organizational book, “The Future Faces of Irregular Warfare: Great Power Confrontation in the 21st Century,” edited by Varsha Koduvayur, IWC Senior Analyst and Valens Global contractor, James Kiras, PhD, and Rick Newton, PhD. “The Future Faces of Irregular Warfare: Great Power Competition in the 21st Century,” is an edited volume of essays on the future evolutions and trends of irregular warfare and competition. Written by leading scholars and practitioners of irregular warfare and national security, the book presents a forward-leaning analysis of how IW between the U.S. and its competitors is likely to play out in several key theatres, such as the Indo-Pacific and the Baltics, and particular issue sets, such as climate change, misinformation and disinformation, economic coercion, and counterterrorism. The book serves to fill a gap in existing literature on the future trends and applications of IW—while much work has been done on attempting to define IW and show how IW trends are at play currently, less focus has been given to the evolution of IW. As such, this volume will be an important addition to the IW discussion. Check out the entire news release on how to access the E-Book, now live on the Center’s website! https://lnkd.in/ek9vQ43m #IWC #Irregularwarfarecenter #Irregularwarfare #IWCFAN #FPRI National Defense University U.S. Naval War College College of International Security Affairs Irregular Warfare Initiative Defense Security Cooperation University George C. There is a difference between a military involvement in a mission to save people from a plane crash, a natural / catastrophic / terroristic event or extreme difficult missions with a scientific research goal, and things like tourism spaceflights or titanic trips, just to make happy some millionaires and billionaires, make tons of money with that and polluting the planet at the same time. https://buff.ly/44Vfdag https://buff.ly/3PwtN3q https://buff.ly/4bZrOhn https://buff.ly/4a6GTff via https://buff.ly/3PdataS Join all channels 🖇🛡 https://buff.ly/3R85I2B 🖇🤡 https://buff.ly/3SUjerw https://buff.ly/48J7a22 #defence #défense #verdediging #difesa #Verteidigung #defesa #forsvar #defensa #science #scienza #Wissenschaft #ciencia #ciência #security #sécurité #veiligheid #sicurezza #Sicherheit #segurança #sikkerhet #seguridad #verdediging #wetenschap #defencetelegram

1moI was on my honeymoon in Vienna, Austria. It took me until the 20th to finally get back home. On the 21st, I was flying Combat Air Patrols over NYC and DC, and did so continuously for the next 3 years. Very odd times. I did get to watch the 2001 World Series from my fully armed F-16 from 22,000 feet. Stupid Luis Gonzalez......
