🚀 Earlier this week Alistair Carmichael MP led a debate on Government support for the UK #space sector. In the debate MPs discussed the value of the space sector, the opportunities for Government to engage industry and the opportunities for economic growth.   Highlights from the discussion included...   📡 The Minister for Data Protection and Telecoms Sir Chris Bryant MP described the space sector as “a strategic priority for this Government”’ and the “biggest opportunity” in his portfolio for economic growth.  🛰️ The varied benefits of space, from satellite navigation and earth observation, to improving data services for businesses and Government.  📈 The strategic benefits of having vertical launch capability for the UK.   🤝 In partnership with UKspace we are working to support parliamentarians in reforming the Space APPG that played a vital role for the sector in the last Parliament.
