In collaboration with colleagues in the Embassy of Ukraine in the UK and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, a special edition of the ADS President’s Breakfast series commemorated signing of the 100 Year Partnership between the UK and Ukraine. The meeting between the Foreign Secretary Rt Hon David Lammy MP, the Deputy Head of the Ukrainian Mission to the UK Eduard Fesko and senior stakeholders from the UK defence industry underlined the efforts to enhance industry relationships in the aerospace, defence, security and space sectors. ⏳ From 31 January 2025, all EU imports into the UK will require Safety & Security (S&S) declarations. S&S declarations support the fight against illicit goods such as drugs and weapons entering the UK and make sure legitimate goods aren’t stopped for unnecessary checks. Hauliers or carriers are legally responsible for submitting S&S declarations. HM Revenue & Customs are encouraging businesses to start submitting S&S declarations now, if they are ready ☑️ ⚙️ If businesses are not ready, they should speak to their supply chains to check who is responsible and plan how declarations will be submitted. 2024 aircraft orders & deliveries data is in ✈️✈️✈️ 🚚 Deliveries of new aircraft reached 1,128 at the end of 2024, an 11% decline on 2023 📉 1,447 aircraft orders placed in 2024 is a 62% decline on the previous year   🔙 15,818 aircraft on backlog order is the highest year-end figure to date Our Chief Economist Aimie Stone comments: "2024 was a turbulent year for the aerospace industry with ongoing supply chain challenges forcing manufacturers to fall short of the ADS delivery forecast.
