Grateful thanks to Marcel Skolimowski Cert RP of Sigmar Recruitment, to Zoe Coghlan of Intel Corporation and to Tony Daly PhD and Carol O'Meara from Pfizer for discussing how to Target Industry Jobs as a PhD, hosted by MTU Careers | Cork Campuses today. Excellent advice to MTU researchers. Here are a few takeaways: employers look at candidates holistically - all your skills and experience is valued and consider your PhD journey as work experience, as you are developing a wide range of skills while doing it. Emotional intelligence is key to building relationships at work and to contributing to a positive workplace culture; prepare to share in interviews examples of how you overcame obstacles and international students are succeeding in building careers in Ireland, so go ahead and apply. #researchcareers #careers #mtu #futurecareers #research #PhD
