As a company, we're committed to continually exploring innovative ways to give back and to adopt sustainable practices. National Patient Transport recently donated expired medical supplies to Medical Pantry. Rather than letting these supplies go to landfill, Health and Safety Officer Marc (pictured) took the initiative to organise to give them to this worthy charity. Not only is the useful life of these supplies extended, Medical Pantry is able to provide essential resources to communities where access to these resources may be limited. To date, Medical Pantry has diverted 15 tonnes of medical supplies from landfill and donated 8 tonnes directly to underserved communities. This initiative is just one example of how we're using our resources to make a meaningful impact beyond our business. #sustainability

In alignment with our commitment to sustainability, we're proud to share that we've recently donated expired medical supplies to Medical Pantry. Rather than letting these supplies go to landfill, our Health and Safety Officer Marc, has taken the proactive initiative to organise to donate them to this worthy charity. By repurposing these resources, we're not only extending their useful life but also supporting Medical Pantry to provide essential resources to communities where access to these resources may be limited. A picture that has stayed in our minds this year: the backyard of a hospital during an #AccesstoHealth mission in Africa by our colleague Luisa 🏥 "The hospital has received large #donations from various donors that were donated for a good cause. However, as many of these donations are old and do not have maintenance contracts, they often do not last long in an environment where there are few resources for maintenance or repair. In other cases, the donations are simply not suitable for the context in which they are intended to be used. Unfortunately not all donations can be used for saving lives." (Luisa Uhlenbruch) What we can do about it? ➡️ We need better strategic access to health management programs. 🙌 At #POTS, we work with our clients to ensure that access programs are sustainable and in line with the host government's priorities. ✔ #partofthesolution

Investing in sanitation is necessary to prevent deaths, improve lives and livelihoods and provide dignity. Poor sanitation catalyzes a vicious cycle of poverty and often women and girls suffer the most from this deprivation. We are calling on you this #givingtuesday to join us in delivering sustainable safely managed sanitation for all through Fresh Life
This #GivingTuesday, we celebrate the spirit of giving, of collaboration and of generosity. We have seen firsthand the impact of collective giving towards a common cause. Because of your support, we have grown to be one of the largest providers of safely managed container-based sanitation, serving over 270,000 people daily. Today, we are focusing on the transformative impact for families and communities. We are calling upon you to help us continue our mission of delivering change through #safesanitation. With $25, you can support one person's access to safe sanitation for a year. With $100, a family of four will receive #safesanitation services for a year. We aim to raise $20,000 and are calling on you to help us reach our goal! We invite you to Donate here: https://lnkd.in/dC2wX9cw and be the catalyst for positive change. #GivingTuesday #SanitationEquals #DonateForDignity

Building tech to help nonprofits find and convert new donors | Innovate UK Grant Winner | Join the waitlist at Pravi.ai
London is the least generous of all the UK’s capital cities. We often associate philanthropy with affluent areas, but the latest UK Giving Report tells a different story. In Belfast West, one of Northern Ireland’s most deprived areas, residents donate an average of 2.2% of their household income to good causes each year. In Kensington and Bayswater, where the average house price is more than £2 million, people donate just 0.5% of their household incomes – the lowest in the whole country. I don’t think Londoners are ungenerous, I think there is a big opportunity here to connect them with a cause they care about. At Pravi.ai we’re building a platform that uses data to connect charities with their ideal donors. Wherever they may be. (The UK Giving Report 2024 is published by Charities Aid Foundation)
