90% of people who completed our survey said that their business held fantasy sport competitions for men's sport but not for the women. Let's change that.
The Guinness Women's Six Nations kicks-off THIS weekend and we've been thinking... what's the best way to get people involved and immersed with the tournament this year?
Our answer... we've set up a Six Nations Fantasy Rugby League powered by Energia so YOU can get more invested, learn about the players and invite your friends, family and colleagues to get invovled too! Not to mention there will be weekly prizes to be won which include match tickets and much more!
We do it for men's sport... so why not the women's too? Interestingly enough, we surveyed our audience around the concept of Fantasy Leagues and it was highlighted that the majority of businesses tend to participate in the men's versions of these but very few do the same for the women. In fact -

In PNG, Politics is in anything and everything, I personally wonder, why we have to politicize sports in the country, PNG Politics has already done enough damage to the economy and image of this country, why can't somethings be freed of politics, and able to flourish alone, thank goodness, other sports, have progressed forward in the world stage, like #cricket, and #soccer, have seen growth and recognition with less politics involved. #PNGFailingForward
#Sports After 26 years in the Rugby league premier competition in the country, the Mt Hagen Eagles have proven that they are the team to reckon with, as they won the Digicel ExxonMobil Cup Grand final against the Hela Wigman 28-20.
The win was timely as it was on the eve of the nation’s 49th Independence Anniversary on Sunday, September 15 at the Santos Stadium in Port Moresby.
Minister for Commerce and MP for Tambul Nebilyer, RugbyLeague when congratulating the team said the game has brought all the leaders of Western Highlands together in the true spirit of the game.

According to website Rugby365, the sale of Newlands Rugby Stadium - to an undisclosed buyer - was voted on, and approved, at a recent Western Province Rugby Football Union council meeting.
Following the move of Western Province Rugby’s professional teams to DHL Stadium in early 2022, Newlands Rugby has ceased to be a rugby venue.
When Western Province Rugby was placed under administration by SARU in October 2021, one of the major tasks assigned to the administrator was to finalise the sale of the stadium. One of the obstacles included a proposal to have the stadium declared a heritage site however, an independent report by a heritage specialist suggested otherwise.

I think that I read over a 100 comments on this and a number of related articles.
And ultimately I come down in favour of the process as the Tier 2 Board includes existing Championship representation.
In addition, selection of the two new clubs is based on a set of criteria that is consistent with creating a sound foundation including:
(1) Minimum Operating Standards.
(2) Finanacial Viability.
(3) Player base, competiveness, commercial and geography.
So the clubs' proposals should have to demonstrate that they are viable and have an expansion agenda. Interestingly, this would suggest that they should not all be based in south or west London as they would be competing against possibly Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Club and definitely Harlequins and Saracens Group so in conflict with arguably (2) and certainly (3).
But it does suggest London Irish Rugby Club, Wasps and Worcester Warriors might meed to adopt a flexible, franchise style approach to hit the mark.
But I would like to know:
(a) Who will be on the tender panel?
(b) How will the money be used? (security or investment elsewhere in the levels below Premiership Rugby, other ways of improving supporter and player involvement).
(c) More detailed criteria...at present it lacks the credibility of a properly robust process with a level playing field.
And interestingly if any previously wound up clubs were to exist in a new format but with the same investors or using collateral from the previous incarnation, what would England Rugby and the Rugby Players Association have to say about unpaid rugby debts?
So good start, but would definitely like more information as I am sure many other supporters would too.
Brilliant news for English rugby 👏
London Irish announced last night that they have officially submitted an expression of interest to the RFU to compete in the Tier 2 Championship league in 2025/26 ✍️
This comes a few weeks after Worcester Warriors made it public that they wish to compete.
It’s looking more and more likely that we will see London Irish and Worcester return to top-flight rugby very soon 🏉
