🎆 The new era of Goal has launched: the Goal Accelerator Programme! 💪 After having run for 17 years and having reached more than 1 million girls globally, the Goal Programme transitioned into the Goal Accelerator. 🏏 This sport-powered, gender-responsive economic resilience initiative is a part of Futuremakers by Standard Chartered, a global youth economic empowerment initiative funded by Standard Chartered Foundation. Its aim is to create concrete pathways and steps for disadvantaged girls and young women to obtain decent employment, earn an income and become economically resilient. 🎯 Goal Accelerator will be implemented by 5 partners: Street League in the United Kingdom, Junior Achievement Mascareignes in Mauritius, Right To Play in Pakistan, SERVE in Sri Lanka, and WOMEN:girls in Malaysia. From the halls of the African Union in Addis Ababa to the classrooms of the University of Buea, every experience underscored this truth: our greatest achievements come through service to others. Under the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, the Federal Government has recommitted itself to empowering the Nigerian youth with a number of robust and impactful initiatives. These programs are designed to be inclusive, unlocking opportunities for all young Nigerians, encouraging innovation and securing a prosperous and sustainable future for our nation. The impact of these initiatives reassures us of a brighter future and calls for our continued support. The Youth-Focused initiatives include but are not limited to: NYEP - National Youth Empowerment Program. A pet project designed to train young Nigerians on holistic skills development and entrepreneurship, coupled with financing, towards their being so they can help make meaningful contributions to the economy. NYIF - Nigerian Youth Investment Fund. A special fund that disburses easy finance to innovative start-ups and small businesses managed by young entrepreneurs to fuel the rise of the next class of leading business leaders in Nigeria.

🌍🚀 Empowering Ghana’s Future! 💡 We’re thrilled to unveil our new initiative in Ghana:“Pact for Skills – Support Tertiary Education for Sustainable Employability”!  🎯The aim of the action is to facilitate better transition of students in tertiary education into the job market, mainly in green and digital sectors, and notably in regions of origin of migration. 🔎This will be accomplished by enhancing coordination mechanisms between tertiary education institutions and the private sector, increasing policy dialogue, expanding training programs in collaboration with 6 local universities, and improving acceleration and incubation services. 📌Our E4Impact Entrepreneurship Center Ghana will serve as centre of excellence/role model for the other local Universities, as well as to support continuous mentoring for implementing entrepreneurship programs. 💰The project is funded by the European Union and carried out in partnership with United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF). Graduation everywhere 🎓 is not for the faint hearted. It requires finesse, commitment, efficiency, effectiveness, self drive, etc. As Challenge Fund for Youth Employment, we are proud of the Private sector implementing partners (businesses and NGOs) that have graduated out of our funding program this week. Together they have helped us create, match and improve jobs for young people in the Agricultural, inclusion, financial services and organic waste sectors in Uganda. We couldn't have been more proud of the successes we have achieved together.
