Special thanks to Tayla Mahmud (M Booth Health), KIMBERLY B., (Golin Health) and Chandria Jones (NORC at the University of Chicago) for such a thoughtful, dynamic discussion! Take-aways for #healthcommunicators: ▶ Connect with people you don't know who could be partners in solving complex problems. ▶ Reflect on the historical context and dismantled systems needed to drive sustainable change. ▶ Make space for enaging opposing/different perspectives. ▶ Use data and lived experiences to co-create stories. ▶ Build equity into your research, communication and outreach strategies.
We're thrilled to share that our very own Brittaney Bethea moderated an insightful panel discussion titled "Inclusion, Equity, Data Democratization, and Health Communication" at the Society for Health Communication's 8th Annual National Summit for Health Communications today. The summit focused on solution-oriented discussions, cross-industry best practice sharing, and practical applications to help attendees navigate the ever-evolving health communication landscape. Congratulations, Brittaney, for leading such an impactful conversation! #SHC #PublicHealth #Conference #HealthEquity #HealthCommunication #SHCSummit24

Radical improvements need radical collaboration! Sharing my Milken Institute Power of Ideas essay "Improving Human Health Through Cross-Sector Collaboration". I am bullish on what lies ahead, but I also believe we cannot maximize benefits for patients by going it alone. We see countless examples in Federal Health agencies of innovative collaboration. As I shared in the essay "We envision the future of health to be an era of unprecedented convergence, collaboration, partnerships, and networks across all sectors of the life science and health-care ecosystem. Only by working together can we achieve integrated, equitable health solutions that improve health outcomes and create a better future for all. That is how we’ll bring a future that is better for patients and all of us, faster."💡💡💡 Check it out here and let me know what you think: https://lnkd.in/g8mF2ac7
