Employee Appreciation Day is 5 days away! (3/1) Count down with me! 5 Reasons I’m celebrating my team this week: 1. When things get tough, the team gets tougher. Challenges? Bring ‘em on! Pivots? We got that! 2. Clear is kind (Thanks Brené for the motto). We’re a high-trust team that give each other the real talk when needed, in the spirit of excellence. 3. Authenticity is embraced. No filter in our game. We represent our true selves and seek to create environments where others can do the same. 4. We rise by lifting others. One team, one dream- we want everyone to win! 5. Courage is currency. No idea is too large or small. We problem solve through curiosity, understanding that some ideas take courage to tackle. What are your 5 reasons to celebrate your team?!

We cannot just talk about changing a company culture in meetings we have to talk, engage and look to understand people. It’s easy to talk with someone from your culture, but it takes courage to actually want to truly understand another person from a different culture than yours! People are quick to assume who you are, based off of their own perceived thoughts. Let’s stop and understand, you are looking into another persons world with “colored” lenses. We are different, and that’s okay! That is the reason for wanting a company to be diverse. Now is the time to roll up your sleeves and start understanding your workforce! Let’s get this week started! Have a great week!

Today, many of us around the world intentionally acknowledge important love and friendship relationships in our lives. Take the time to also celebrate the MEANINGFUL CONNECTIONS AT WORK. Those are relationships that foster TRUST, COLLABORATION, and MUTUAL SUPPORT, that can help you achieve career goals and learn new skills together. - If you are in the office, set time aside to share a coffee/tea or to have lunch with your colleagues and remind them how important they are to you. - If your company has an internal recognition system, take the time to recognize colleagues. - Write a handwritten note or an email message to those colleagues with whom you have a meaningful connection. And remember, you can do this all year long.

🌟Imagine being thrilled instead of upset about an internal promotion! There are many benefits to celebrate, such as maintaining company culture and decreasing training costs. Internal promotions also boost morale, which can propel productivity. ⚡However, it's not always a bed of roses. Sometimes, an internal promotion can create tension among co-workers and may limit the influx of fresh ideas that an external hire could bring. So, while an internal promotion can streamline processes and enhance engagement, it's important to consider potential drawbacks. It's all about finding balance - embrace the challenge! 🌈
