Despite these achievements, the journey to gender equality is far from over. African women continue to face hurdles like gender-based violence, limited access to quality education and healthcare, and economic inequalities. But these challenges cannot dim their light. Youth organizations and women's rights groups are crucial allies in this fight, providing platforms for young women to lead and thrive. It's time to invest in policies that empower more women economically and politically. You can read more on Pan African Women's Day here. https://lnkd.in/dtSvXcWj

International Women’s Day is a moment to unite, recall the remaining barriers and remind conservative and far-right forces challenging the rights conquered by the feminist movement that we are stronger than them. ♀️ It is also a moment to celebrate what we have achieved. Thanks to progressive leaders in key portfolios, this EU legislature has seen the emergence of a European Gender Equality Strategy and a European Care Strategy, two great political agendas that have helped and can further help Europe to make steps in the direction of a more equal society. 🇪🇺 As we approach the start of a new mandate, we demand loudly and clearly that the EU must remain strongly committed to accelerating progress for all women! As a proud feminist think tank, FEPS has made gender equality one of its leading priorities. After all, progressivism can only go hand in hand with feminism. ⚖️ 📚Take action today by reading FEPS’ gender research, including Women CSO leaders for systemic change, an EU feminist foreign policy, and our Care4Care series! ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eU2QiyqJ Thank you to all the women and men from FEPS network who work with us on this mission! Stay connected and help us improve on our analysis and recommendations to continue pushing for a more equal and fair society.

Honoring the Trailblazers this International Women's Day As we celebrate International Women's Day, let's take a moment to recognize and honor all the incredible women who have paved the way for progress. From the suffragettes who fought for our right to vote to the activists who continue to advocate for equality today, their sacrifices have brought us closer to a more equitable world. But let's not forget, the journey towards true equality is far from over. There are still challenges and barriers that women face in every corner of the globe. Whether its gender pay gaps, lack of representation in leadership roles, or access to education and healthcare, there is still much work to be done. So, this International Women's Day, let's not only celebrate how far we've come but also recommit ourselves to the ongoing fight for gender equality. Let's honor the past, empower the present, and inspire the future. Together, we can create a world where every woman and girl has the opportunity to thrive. #InternationalWomensDay #EqualityForAll
