New Zealand has released for comment draft legislation to implement expanded protection for geographical indications as required under the EU-NZ FTA, including greatly enhanced enforcement measures. Those engaged in foodstuffs and beverages trade in New Zealand should review the legislation and the additional geographical indications to be protected, and provide any comment by 15 February 2024.
