To hire an HR Director or not to hire an HR Director, that is the question... To save on budget and hire a junior HR person who does it all and expand the team after? What if the company is growing, will that person be able to shoulder the weight? Or are you setting them up for failure and ultimately costing your company much more than you bargained for? What about if you have several very competent HR professionals but are managing them under the CFO... do they feel supported? Are they engaged and operating as a people-centric team?
