Ivo Jansen MD PhD, presented our latest publication in the Journal of NeuroInterventional Surgery, exploring the potential of machine learning to accurately determine clot histological characteristics. Our study utilized Nicolab's innovative automated clot analysis software to evaluate clot perviousness using each patient's NCCT and CTA datasets. 🧠 The results are promising, highlighting the potential for machine learning to enhance the effectiveness of mechanical thrombectomy (MT). I successfully replicated the study on motion prediction for beating heart surgery using GRUs, demonstrating that the T-GRU model is more stable than originally reported and that spatio-temporal features might be relevant when using in vivo datasets.
