This year, millions of people will flock to the mountains and public land to get outside. Visitors will require more than 3,000-4,000 rescues by SAR teams. Many will create thousands of unnecessary, high impact social trails and campsites. Some will drive across tundra, leave behind litter, summit signs, and dog waste, all threatening public access and the sustainability of the land for the future. Land managers and SAR teams are strapped for resources and need support to stem the growing tide. We work to help prevent rescues and land impacts through awareness-building and educational campaigns, training, and advocacy. We use digital tools to experiment, find innovative solutions, and make an impact for the outdoors. Public lands are a commons; Their overuse is all of our problem. Be part of the solution as a member of The Next Summit to make our education and advocacy impact a reality. It only costs $5 a month but makes a big collective impact. In the recent wake of the fire at a homeless shelter in Francisville, it reminds us of why our work as nonprofit leaders is crucial. Every day, we have the opportunity to make a tangible impact in our communities! 🏩 This story is a powerful example of resilience. Despite the adversity, the shelter has not lost hope and is taking bold steps towards rebuilding their facility 🛠️. Their dedication motivates us to pursue our missions with the same ardor. However, disasters like these also underscore the importance of being prepared. Often, this preparedness aspect is overlooked. We need to ask ourselves - are we ready to face such challenges? How can we ensure our nonprofit's sustainability? Long term planning and resource mobilization are key. Engaging our community, developing smart fundraising efforts, and adopting effective marketing strategies are vital. Remember, storytelling connects hearts and opens up possibilities 💓. Let's connect for change! Continue pushing boundaries and #GiveHopeDaily 🌟. You are the heart and soul of change, never forget that! #NonprofitsLead #GrassrootsImpact #BizPrepSolutions #Marketing4Change

A very interesting approach.
At 1% for the Planet, we believe that small contributions from many businesses and individuals can collectively create significant impact at a larger scale. By becoming a builder and pledging a monthly donation, you can help provide sustained support for people and the planet—and join a community dedicated to amplifying our impact together. Each monthly contribution helps direct vital support to strengthen a network of over 5,000 members supporting thousands of environmental organizations addressing our four impact areas: rights to nature, resilient communities, conservation and restoration, and just economies. For every $1 you donate, we certify $13 in donations to environmental nonprofit partners around the globe. Wondering about the impact of your contributions? As a builder, you'll receive quarterly updates right in your inbox, showcasing how your support is helping us move towards our goal of achieving $1 billion in certified impact.
