If a disease doesn't differentiate a gender, why do we humans? 🤔 This is what the panel discussion made me think last night. It had an impact on me for sure 🙂 We must unite as a community and view the healthcare system as one. We need to make sure that both Female and male healthcare innovations and inventions don't get dominated by societal tabus. There is a lot to improve. With all the right leaders who aren't afraid to express their views and motivate current and upcoming generations, there is considerable hope for a gender-equal world, even in biotech/healthcare investments 😁 🤗 . Every patient matters and requires innovation to tackle their unique health conditions. Innovation only happens when investment isn't scarce. I was fortunate to have been on the organizing team for last night's wonderful panel event 😊. The energy, enthusiasm, and potential all the panelists brought were immensely powerful 🤘 The unique view of the panelists and their fearless stand to bring real solutions for real issues in women's health is remarkable. I am grateful to all the panelists, Sabriya Stukes, PhD, partner at SOSV and CSO IndieBio, Marissa Fayer CEO DeepLook Medical, Lanna Last CEO My AIMA Inc and Eve McDavid CEO Mission-Driven Tech for a breathtaking discussion on the critically essential topic of women's health and the unfortunate truth of investment battles for female founders in the male-dominated world.
