What does it take to drive positive changes for the climate in an increasingly polarised world? One point made by the folks at Center for Humane Technology which has stuck with me ever since: Their main concern was originally the climate, but they realised that as a society we can't tackle climate while we're becoming ever more polarised (exacerbated by growth-at-all-costs technology). At Climate Guardians, we're looking to thread the needle towards a future we can all look forward to. Here are some of the ways we're working to do this with our latest campaign in partnership with Klimamitbestimmung: ⚡️ Topics that connect: The topic of our current campaign is one that intrinsically speaks to connection rather than confrontation: supporting the citizens' assembly, in which randomly selected everyday people came to consensus on powerful changes for the food system. 👋🏼 Meeting people where they are: We've partnered with HUMANA Second Hand Kleidung GmbH to share posters in their stores nationwide. We're connecting with rockstar content creators to spread the news on socials. And you'd better believe we'll be at the Fridays for Future marches next week! 💪🏼 Actions made easy and powerful: We've built a platform that packs the power of a personally-written letter while being (almost) as quick as signing a petition. 🫱🏼🫲🏾 Powerful together: Not just citizens, but also a consortium of NGOs and businesses are supporting the cause.
