This symposium addresses the potential impact of gadopiclenol on abdominal MRI, focusing on diagnostic performance and safety, and asking whether the availability of gadopiclenol will adversely impact the utilization of hepatobiliary GBCAs. Comparing Lu-177, Ac-225 and Pb-212: An under appreciated aspect of the therapeutic effect is the dose rate. Shorter half-lives typically mean higher administered activity is possible, leading to many more decays within the first 24 hrs. Approximately 80% of total alphas are emitted by Pb-212 within the first day, compared to 6% of total alphas from Ac-225 (ignoring the daughters of course). This means the molecule is very efficient, with peak radiation deposition at the time when the drug uptake in the tumor is also highest.
