The National Cyber Force (NCF) is expanding its presence in the North West of England with a new partnership in Preston. The partnership will see the NCF collaborate with academic institutions and industry to create jobs and support the North West Cyber Corridor. The NCF is responsible for protecting the UK from cyberattacks, and the partnership with partners in Lancashire is a vital step in this effort. By working together, the NCF and its partners can develop the skills and expertise needed to keep the UK safe online. The partnership is also a welcome boost for Preston. The NCF's new home in Samlesbury is expected to create jobs and support the local economy. The NCF's expertise in cybersecurity will also help to make the area a more attractive place for businesses and investors. As a resident of Preston, I am excited about the NCF's new partnership. I believe that it will bring real benefits to the city and the region. Here are some specific things I am looking forward to: 🔷The creation of new jobs in the cybersecurity sector 🔷The development of new skills and expertise in cybersecurity 🔷The growth of the cyber ecosystem in the North West of England Increased investment in Preston #Preston #Cybersecurity #NationalCyberForce

The National Cyber Force (NCF) are working with partners across Lancashire ahead of its move to Samlesbury. The Lancashire Cyber Partnership will see the NCF work with Lancashire County Council, the Lancashire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), the University of Central Lancashire, Lancaster University, and BAE Systems to support the cyber ecosystem in the county. The initiative was launched at the first-ever Lancashire Cyber Festival which included cyber fairy tales for primary school pupils, code-breaking puzzles for local colleges, and a high-tech escape room for university students. Strategic Command’s Lt Gen Tom C-S CBE, Claire Fry and Tim N. answered questions from local school pupils, and presented awards after the pupils took part in the exciting cyber challenges. https://lnkd.in/edu6TVmn
